Same theory as the agramon nights , the day is picked and if it turns out to be a case where I cant make it , Ill still oraganise it as best I can through the forums anyway .
This will work as long as it doesnt become too frequent . Agramon nights died out and were revived and died out because people want agramon nights every night and thats just not possible . Everything in moderation should make this day quite enjoyable . If its still busy that evening obviously it could very well last through the night also
Unfortunately as we are all aware , it will not be in any way easy or as secure as the agramon nights as they were simply full groups versus full groups and generally they were the biggest fish in the sea . We are going to have the obvious problems of casters showing up , mini to full groups also coming over to roll us .. Im still thinking and racking my brains on the safest way to have a fullfilling 1 versus 1 event. Hopefully closer to the day I will have a few tricks up my sleeve and if not we shall go for it anyway.
Essentially if enough of us turn up , we are a zerg unto ourselves with average hitpoints of 2500 each so in theory we should be able to hold our own .
Thats really all the info I can give at the moment, Ill converse with a few people ingame and some irl friends and see what we come up with . I hope that if we dont come up with anything and that in the end its just a large number of soloers in one area, that people wont feel disappointed and let down as me and others do intend to spend quite a while trying to come up with ideas but for obvious reasons we are relatively restricted .
Feel free to post some comments , Im fully aware that this has been tried before but I would like people to have an open mind and also the last time this was attemtped, I believe it was a permanent duelling area where as this is a one day one chance event .
Also if people have any ideas I would love to hear them , either here or through private message if they would prefer to keep them under wraps for now ! This is for all you guys and gals out there , that run around with no interupts, no speed , no pets, just a basic sword and shield and look to earn some realm points , some respect and have a bit of fun ! Im aware that people pay their own subs , but for the people who would normally annihalate solo melee classes, perhaps you could for one day turn a blind eye ! If not , Im sure we will have our own contingency plan at any rate !
