Software Screen dimming on Win11?

So, my screen dims slowly and it's clearly software. I minimise firefox and it goes back bright again.

I've tried all the power settings, everything else I've googled hasn't worked.

Anyone got any ideas? (Be prepared for me to say "tried that".

Auto brightness? system>display>change brightness automatically when lighting changes or change brightness based on content

or failing that, disable HDR as it can be buggy?

Yeah. Been all over that. Ta tho.

My current avenue of thought is can I nail brightness down through group policy settings

Good old group policy. You can set almost anything in there.

Set the % of screen dimming allowed when plugged in to zero. Problem looks to be solved

Have to agree, one of the better things MS came up with.
