So, I'm sitting here on FH... Microphone wrapped around my neck (As you do), MSN open, talking to my now older friend (BDay is today) and listening to some emo group called My Chemical Romance... Anyway, that's not the point of this thread..
Over the last year I've become less `hate filled` towards social networking websites, in fact, other than FH, DSET, mIRC and `the site that should not be named` I pretty much spend most of my on these sort of websites..
So yeah, basically been using them for like a year now (Links all over FH, heh) and today and about a month ago they've played off and done what they say on the tin. "They help you network" - Is this generally a good thing? Over the last few months I've found, have spoken (online) and have `learnt more about`:
- 1 girl from my primary school
- 2 guys from my secondary school
- Joined several old/new school groups which I belonged to (-_-)
From that, I've found out that 2-4 other people from the people/groups are now either homosexual, engaged, dead or otherwise... But this isn’t the fun bit.. The fun bit is the sudden rise of sole hatred towards the memories of these places.
Not many people know, but towards the end of high-school (Uhh... 2 school ago, as I switched schools after the experience) I got my head kicked in by a group of guys (QQ, I'm over it. It also explains how I am now
) and the names/faces and memories of this experienced is causing me to want to kill them all... Now, I'm pretty sure this ISN'T what Social Networking sites are meant to do to a person.
Generally I don't hold grudges, don't tend to care what people do and try and forget about stuff that's happened in the past (I'm actually meant to have this mentally blocked, but oh well; fuck it) Whether it be from early school days, college days, family vacations/trips out or generally doing things. (It makes life a lot easier) Now, after reading up/finding out about the people who I use to know, I've found out that I've turned out (supposedly) better than they have. (According to the people who I actually get along with, from those situations)
I've got my life sorted out to a point where I'm nearly happy.
I've changed (Physically, yay. No longer the fat kid.) Mentally/Physically.
I've moved out of a region where street crime was a big issue (East London)
I've got a good set of bizarre ass friends, a goodish education and know what I want in life AND AND AND can meet new people with no major problems.
Where as, the people from the `past`(Not all, but the majority) still act the same, do the same things, see the same people and don't seem to have majorly grown up, or tried out new experiences. (Granted, they've most probably not had a visit from Denial, Sympathy, Karma or Moderation.. Well, maybe Karma..) Is it me, or did me being hurt majorly actually IMPROVE my life? Did I actually gain from being hurt? Does the fact I can look back at the `old times` think of the people, and assume that most of their lives suck make me a bad person? or should I just forget about it and be happy with where I am in life?
I don't actually know where I'm getting at with this thread honestly, just needed somewhere to write and here is generally a place where I like visiting!
Uhhmm... Guess I've got nothing else I can really say.
Oh, so I can get the things out of the way... Since every thread contains insults, homoerotica, bizarre stuff and uselss posts:
- Vlad is gay with Thad, they love each other more than Toht and a J.D. bottle
- I should be getting a good visit from Denial tomorrow night xD She ownes me a session.
- QQ! NO ONE CARES..
Anyway..
