Me too.

Was sitting here in the office at 8:20 while Leggy was MSNing me that his HL2 validation is at 80% ... since then, nothing - I'm assuming he died*

*May be playing HL2

Am late for work 'cos of the game ... spent the last 30 minutes trying to do the see-saw bit. So goddamn frustrating and about zero room for error. Rest of the game great so far - but that is just teh suck.

30 minutes? I think that took me less than one! I'm stuck now.

See saw bit was easy, just put bricks on the end of the plank to hold it down.
I assume you know that though :)

Just a quick question which is probably a right noobish one, but ive just purcahsed HL2 on my lunch break.

a. there is no instruction manual

b. There is only 1 HL2 CD

c. There is no CS:S CD

Have I been ripped off by the poxy games shop near me or is this correct?

It should be just the one DVD with all the content on it. Not at work today, but if you still need to know about the manual tomorrow I can open a copy up and check the contents.

This may seem a silly question but as I only have one pc what would be the point or need in an extra license?

I nearly started crying this morning as it kept erroring when I tried to install it. Cannot find an icon in one of the cabs. Seems it was because i hadnt selected counter-strike to install.

Beautiful game though, only had an hour to play it but some excellent environments already and the see-saw puzzle was great fun! even though a little easy Turamber ;-)

Put the boxed version on Ebay, you'll sell it no problem.

Took over an hour or so to install, register etc, then the "preparing to play" took 15 mins and said "error, the steam servers are too busy"

what a crock of shit :(

My first thought upon entering the see-saw room was to use the bricks but I couldn't seem to pick them up. Will try again a bit later, though having this game released so close to EQ2 is causing me major problems!!!!

The hovercraft bit is class, I loved that. I'm in Ravenholm now, well, just got out of it. It's horrible, it scared me :|

Dog and the guy with the shotgun in Ravenholm are my favourite characters so far. :D

Loving the game btw, lives up to my expectations.

I'm trying to post in every HL2 thread. I'm just wandering about throwing broken telephones at people. I never did like single player FPS games...
