Some large full-scale war is going on in my workplace at the moment over what really was the first FPS game.

One side is saying Wolfenstein in shareware form clinches it and another group are saying it was Robocop 3 on the Amiga.

The floor is open lads, any knowledgeable old-school veterans know for definite?

There was this game on the BBC Micro B called 3d Maze that used vector graphics and you had a laser where you had to shoot monsters in a 3d maze. If that counts :)

I had the deluxe version of the BBCB Maze game, with the level desgner included. That was some advanced shit in it's day. That must have been about 17 years ago, cos i was still in primary school.

I had the RoboCop 3 game on the Amiga too, that rocked, the crosshairs moved right around the screen as I remember, but like so many Amiga games I could only play it for about 10 minutes before it crashed, and I had to reload :( , Still lots of fun tho.

I had a game on the Speccy called 3d Tunnel. You had to shoot bats and rats and other stuff.

There was a thread on this topic before. Can someone drag it up? I think we might have even come to some sort of conclusion.
