Hmmmm if the melee resist hard cap is 50% then surely that means plate tanks using Warguard arn't even getting the full benefit, or do you mean you can only have 50% absorb bonus above armour-based absorb?

There are 3 counters for dmg taken bud, he's just talking about resists themselves instead of ABS/AF bonuses. I still thought that you got effect from getting over 50%melee resists. Can anyone who has tested it confirm whether or not you do?

Just thinking what you'd need to have it though. 26% from items, 28%from PD...but that works like AoM so doesn't give a straight up 28%.....hmm, not even sure its possible to reach 50% to test if that's hardcap yet.

If you wanna test ABS cap, you'd need a bof3 cleric to test it with. 34%natural from plate+battler 19% +40% from BoF is best I can think of.

STill wanna try PD5, 30%natural ABS+19%from battler and bof3 40%absorb on 1000AF with my tic

Well if PD works as "dmg decrease" then it's probably a "bof-like absorb" and not resist.

Vamps are a strange class, for some it's easy rps, for others they are impossble to kill

The warguard is ml10 ability and is a 25% abs buff. It stacks with battler and is usable every 10 mins. To give you an example I fought a low rr vamp with ablat running, he hit me one time for 156. I then used warguard and battler and in 4 rounds he hit me for a total of 24.

Well if PD works as "dmg decrease" then it's probably a "bof-like absorb" and not resist.

When you get it PD, on your stats page, if you run your mouse over crush resists for example, it'll show 26%+2% i think it is. It works in the same way aom does so say for example you were hit for 100. It'd first take away 26% to make it 74% THEN it'd take away 2% from the PD.

So I'm wondering if its hardcapped 50% fullstop or whether you can in fact go over that with secondary melee resists.

I knew mincers had an easier time in PvE than other stealthers due to charm, but that scene were he knocked out all those yellow/con mobs like an animist does almost made me cry when I thought of the time I spent in PvE levelling 12 artis solo

He was using a Scorcher pet. They are funny as hell but you do need a fop bot to be able to do what he does.

melee resists are capped at 50% + racial, a vamp can hit 50% with the self resist buff (mine has 55% crush resist with everything ticking) as the buff adds it directly to thier resist. rhis has nothing to do with abs or AF calculations though, also afaik things like the battler charge are calcualted after everything, though i havent actually tested it properly.
