Curious what respecs the different classes are doing.

Personally im speccing to 50 mana, 20 light, other bits in void. I know many dont like mana, but i enjoyed it on gorre with the insta aoe debuffs etc.

Well..the test I had on Gorre exceeded my wildest expectations, so I am definately going 50 Valor, 50 LW and 28 Parry

Well, seeing as how my bard being 42 will lose his in 2 levels i'm gonna use it to fix a minor mistake i made at low lvl. Too many pnts in wep meaning i couldn't get to 16 reg. So don't worry peeps, dansin won't be dishin out ghetto rezzes once lvl 50

to put it simply, the snare DD owns meh!

tested it on gorre and ffs mana spec is fun, been testing it against my void spec on excal last night soloing a bunch of orange grovewoods (yes i pulled the whole damn forest all over again ) and the snare DD (with no +damage, just like the void one) was hitting for about 250 a pop on orange's, the void one was hitting for about 216 so strange since i thought they had the same base damage... still, that and the snare effect (which is insanely good!) just makes things allworthwhile, if you voidies thought mobs got slow while on low health when you attack them, you've seen nothing until you see them taken to that low health by the snare DD , you may as well have just chopped their feet off , excellent!

with void is sometimes find it hard to solo oranges, with mana on gorre i was soloing at lvl 36, two high orange con irewood greenbarks at once! and it can only get better when our aoe DD attackspeed debuff becomes aoe DD snare too

god i love mana spec!, you get snare DD, pbaoe, insta aoe str/con debuff (great for interupting casters, and at higher lvl's will almost certainly knock off more str than most of them even have!), aoe DD's, aoe debuffs, single target debuffs, you name it , when i specced mana i honestly didnt miss any of the void spells one little bit!

i would recommend waiting till you try out void on new patch before rushing to respec. Comparing damage between them in 1.50 for void and 1.52 for mana could be misleading. That's 2 patches in there.

The insta stat debuffs dont interrupt. Only castable debuffs like resist debuffs interrupt.

However, many casters will be perma-rooted with that uber-evil debuff.

As for myself and respecs I'm very tempted to go 48 mana for the DoT's, MR5, and 132 HP HoT.

hehehe, well they didnt say anything about damage changes to void or mana in the patchnotes... so it can't be different <cough> AAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAH <cough>

seriously though, even if the snare DD does only hit for hte same as the void one, it doesnt matter because i was soloing oranges with basically no actual danger at all, the snare DD does just that, its' extremely powerful because if you want too you can just run for a few seconds and start DDign all over again .

basically, tried mana spec, absolutely loved it, tried 1.52 void spec too, and to be honest i wasnt impressed with the addition to it (ie gtaoe) adn the rest seemed as boring as ever, so i know what i'm doing with my /respec all

consider CS instead of LW but...hummm...I like big flashy hammers

Blades 44 -->10
Shield 50 -->42
Parry 39 -->45
CS 1 -->44

chosing CS cause i want to kill chain-wearers pretty fast ( Healer, Cleric, Minstrel etc), not maxing it though, since the lvl 50 style is pants.
Shield is enough for the good old slam, and if I fight with SnB I'm still just as good in defense vs mobs as i was before ( ok, 1% drop-off )

Delura will drop parry from 14 to 10 to increase nurture to 49 for the last resist-buff.


On a sidenote: I would really consider using up that respec even if you don't want to change anything, just to make sure that no friend/brother/mother/cat accidently respecs your character and gimps him/her.

Well, I think I will not change my spec plan, which looks like:

Celtic Dual 44
Parry 44
Shield 4

BUT I don't know whether to change from blades to blunts.

I heard that mythic buffs blade damage, anybody heard the same?

Any input from you high Blademasters is very welcome

im respeccing a few points i spanked away at lvl 1, a point in pierce for my hero for example. i noticed no one is going lvl 50 in blades - is it a commonly accepted fact that 50 blades is a bad idea?

That is the one i have now but am tempted to respec my 7 blunts to blades/pierce as the blunt taunt style is level 8 (i only get detaunt at level 6). Still, I only use it for grey mobs.

on a side note, can all the people who yell "Traitor!" while running past at speed 5 please roll alts on the pvp server adn turn the safety flag off , i want to gank you ALL , happened three times now and i'm really wishing i could thwack you all over the head

and thats mainly because parry is and always will be pants ^^

it cant stop arrows.
it cant stop styles in FG vs FG rvr.
it cant stop non-styled hits which arent in front 120 degrees
it cant stop bolts.

im not interested in being the ultimate force in dueling.

if i want to be defensive ill use shield, which reduces my chance to parry somewhat- if the hit is 'stoppable', my 50 with bonuses shield spec will stop it very often before the parry check comes in, for various reasons.

i definitely want 39+ in 1h damage for mages, assassins and of course i need to have some use in pve raids etc ill probably stick with the blades, but i'll decide soon
