So Really, Why Do I Bother?

Yeah, chances are i'm pissed. Guess what? I don't care...

I'm god damn sick of having to put up with all the god damn crap that some of you people can put together. I mean, is it MY fault some people don't read the rules? Is it MY Fault that they chose to come on a hunt i've arranged? Is it MY fault that when all is said and done. YES they could have been doing somthing more productive with their time.

So tell me, after every choice they've made. And after every sacrafice i make to do somthing like tonight TG raid, WHY THE HELL SHOULD I HAVE TO PUT UP WITH PEOPLE SPAMMING ME COMPLAINING THAT THEY FEEL THE LOTTO WASN'T DONE IN A FAIR MANNER!?!!

NO REALLY, IF I'D DONE THE LOTTO IN AN UNFAIR WAY MORE PEOPLE WOULD HAVE BEEN HAPPY. BUT THEN I'M NOT PREPARED TO DO THAT, I'M NOT PREPARED TO CHANGE THE RULES TO SOMTHING THAT EFFECTS x MANY PEOPLE JUST JUST BECAUSE ITS WHAT THEY WANT. THE RULES WERE STATED CLEARLY, IF YOU COULDN'T BOTHER TO READ THEM OR YOU DIDN'T AGREE WITH THEM THEN WHY THE HELL DID YOU COME IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!

Well i agree with you. If you attend a preplanned hunt you agree with the rules stated before the hunt. People are total idiots and morons if they whine over it afterwards, because if they had gotten something... it wouldn't have been fair. Takes alot of time and effort to organise these things and if people don't like it, don't attend. But don't flame the leader unless he has acted in a SERIOUSLY stupid way.

And I mean that. There are ALWAYS people unhappy with the way the lottery is done, or the way the hunt was ran, or this or that. That's an unfortunate reality. I still think, regardless of what others may have said to you, that the lotto was done fairly (even if I did get confused with the 2nd round ). The rules were posted so all those who went should have been aware what they were. Thank you again for running the hunt, and I hope it doesn't put you off doing more in the (near!) future.

Also, thanks to everyone who continued with the hunt after the 'mishaps'. I'm sure we all agree that the hunt improved dramatically after this, and it made the hunt both fun and worthwhile.

Finally, I'd like to apologise on behalf of GoV once again for the member of our group who let the team down. She will receive a talking to by one of the officers next time we see her online, and I can only hope it won't happen again.

You're good at managing crowd but unfortunatly not so good at managing mobs. With offgroup pulls and proper tank group we'd wiped all but king/queen easy without any wipes. :/

Just a suggestion, for future hunts (and if you dont organise any we will break your legs ) loose the random group. In no way am I insulting the individuals but in comparison to the guild groups they didnt operate as well.

I dont think you will ever have a lotto were everyone is happy, in this case it seemed a couple of the more 'vocal' people were unhappy and so it was more noticeable.

With the exception of the time spent standing in hagall I thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon/evening.

Your hunt, your rules.
If you had posted that you would claim ALL drops before the hunt they are yours. It’s as simple as that.
And to the ppl there that didn’t know the rules, too bad for you. Read the rules next time and make a choice if you want to join the other raiders on that hunt.

Same problem on hib, all the 5 year olds expect to get an item, even if the dont need it every raid. If they dont they call the raid crap and spam the raid leader. strangly enough if they do get an item the raid suddenly becomes the best ever.

and i agree with Sko, better tactics is needed. Double death of 4fg on skellies with only me able to log in time - and i'm not a rezzer - is nothing to be proud of Skellie cleanup is doable even with 2.5fg - tho a bit long.

After you lot left to pwn emain we had offgroup pullers, some damn nice kiting and warriors engaging etc. I just dont think the random group had the same sort of discipline to allow for that two work.

For instance on the first skellie wipe when we were told to all assist the main tank, onec we were wiped out you could see a huge clump of dead bodies on the mob we were supposed to be hitting then a smaler clumb consisting of the random group who felt they should hit something further down.

Im not saying you guys suck, I cant say that as I know shit about TG but I do know that you werent following instructions.

I dont think you could get rid of the random grps.

If they didnt come, they would get a "well if i dont get x item no 1 will" attitude, and come along and just try ruin it :x

I'm putting together my first TG raid for Tuesday (see other thread) and already have people leaping down my throat about what they see as unfair lotto rules. At no point did I say I wasn't open to suggestions about lotto...BTW I see no problem with raid organiser (i.e. person who puts in fuckload of work to get raid happening) saying "if XXXX drops I want one"...hell, it's their raid.

Thanks a lot to everyone who replied (and to those that didn't reply with stuff like 'Cry more noob' )

As expected i feel kinda stupid about getting frustrated over the whole thing. However on the other hand i think people were justified to complain, the original reason the 'only Support classes can roll for alts' rule was implemented was because we would end up with a large number of damage dealers. But relativly few Healers/Shamans and more importantly RM's (of the PBT variation)

However, as i realised when using the system i currently favour (mainly guild groups, with 1-2 random) the guild groups will usually bring a balanced group anyway. Which discriminates against the tanks.

Needless to say i'l be taking a look at the way i run hunts in the future, like the saying goes what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger... unless it bites your legs off in which case it makes you shorter

Anyway, thanks again to all those that replied and a big appologie to those i get pissed off at. And a really, super-big-massive-on-my-knees-groveling appology to Shaniah who i wasn't too nice too
