We were 2fg's in HW tonight expecting the usual zerg...nothing.

We took Beno expecting The Great Arthur Defenders to come and take it back...nothing.

We ran around HW in seperate fg's for at least an hour waiting...nothing.

Bah.

P.S. Thought I'd whine about Albs NOT zerging in HW for a nice change to the usual threads.

Hmm, we ran in to them camping MMG with 37 people 4 times. Was hoping to get some help from you lot clear them away :)

We weren't zerging we were protecting our frontier..

(even tho someone accused me personally of zerging on irc I believe, because i emoted a /ponder to someone) Seriously its a game and people shouldn't take emotes so personally, if I was gonna mock anyone I'd do it on here like everyone else.

EDIT: surprisingly, myself and Case were actually watching the same TV - interesting what he doesn't admit to watching ;)

Ah sorry - must have been a bit early for us. We were there about 22.30 GMT.

Yea you showed great skills in RvR. But isn't 37 people for blocking a MG for 1 fg from a realm that can't have a CS abit overkill?

thats the biggest 1fg i`ve ever seen

hmm since you were 1fg then the 37 mids at mmg must have been 2fg by your counting methods?

besides we turned up to retake beno that was taken by 39 hibs

37 for a retake against 39 hibs isn`t bad IMO thats 2fg each side by warders counting methods

seems to be common throughout the realms - when we held beno last weekend it was taken back by 96 albs (as per deathspam) - but according to some people it was just under 3fg :)


People will always change or exagerate things to 'suit' themselves - its human nature

Yep - only way we're gonna get enough RP's to ever compete with the likes of MM, Warders, PE, BO, SU, etc.

Dont spoil my plan by telling the Arthurites though!

So you say Warders and MM came to MMG toghter? Then you really must be bad at counting :p

And can you please share the skills you have taking a keep from that range since you said that was what you where doing ;)

Shouldnt be much of a problem seen as MM warders PE FL and BO all run in 1 fg. Your 2fg should standa fair chance against even one high rr fg.

Wouldnt expect many albs to be in HW if you keep running 2 fg though.

Last 2 days our guild groups, (who only play about 1 hour per night at the same) time decided to join up and take a keep in Albion. That was after being zerged 5 straight runs by 2-5 FG albs both at amg emain and mmg HW.

But yeah hibs are the true zergers on prydwen :rolleyes:

i never said hibs zerged.....

albs and mids both zerg but a majority of guilds run single fg's that work idependently; the zerg is created by people running in collections of random groups.

The zergs in HW are created when keeps get patrols killed by 16+ enemies, then then camp the MG's the rest of the night.

Rigante brought out approx 2.5 grps to counter a threat of 39 (approx) hibs, at our beloved beno. AS we were starting a Krodon raid we felt that we may not be in time to save it, so we asked our alliance to help, i think we managed to muster 4-5 grps (so approx 35-40 albs) fair enough imo. However beno had fallen to the invaders much to our chagrin. As most of the 4-5grp were en route we decided to reclaim, which we did rather quickly (as it was unclaimed,lev 1 and only token resistance inside). After completing this task, it was decided to go down and barricade the mgs as it was probably thought that either the hibs or mids would come back knowing that we were out in force.

This proved to be accurate as throughout the evening as we had many encounters with the forces of midgard, I will however attempt to give a more accurate picture of the numbers (to try and avoid whines etc). Warders had a group, and attempted to break through mmg several times (much to their credit) and MM popped at once at a different time with a fg, but were dispatched never to return. Also there were separate instances of approx 2grps of random mids, plus a couple of single hib grps popping up at different times.

On the subject of zerging I dont see how reclaiming a keep then blocking the mgs can be constrewed as zerging, for zerging implies gathering a large number of people, running around and riding roughshod over the general populce. Defending a set posistion from invaders isnt.

I think it is refreshing to get away from this l33t (however you want to decribe it) mentality of high rr grps going 1 on 1 all the time. if i wanted to play a squad v squad game id be playing something else. All out war can be a lot more intersting and a hell of a lot more random. Plus a lot more ppl can enjoy it.

Anyway just my two penneth (well actually 4 or 5).

Glad to help..I don't blame anyone for wanting to protect their own frontier, Mids in Odins/Hibs in Emain /salute. Even the keep guards yell 'defend our land etc etc' so even they encourage it ^^

I dont mind if you rally to take back keeps ofc. The boredome for us lies in the fact HW is usually flooded with albs camping/roamin mmg area when we try to run as a FG there.

Thus eating dirt when 10+ tanks laying the spankage on every caster. You play as You want to, just saying it sucks to be on the recieving end of zergs day after day.

Tbh im amazed noone actually thinks of just not coming back on the next port. You whine that albs were camping the mg.

Go elsewhere. Have to say 90% of the people you'll find in HW on an evening dont have much patience. Nothing to kill for 20mins and the number of albs in HW will drop to around 10. First elite guild grp to come after that gets the rps then you wont see an alb for the rest of the night.

As all the rvr guild grp people constantly say ... ok you cant beat us 1fg vs 1fg (you accept that a random group cant) so team up. So people do. Then you whine :rolleyes: And there wernt 37 albs @ mmg in HW. There were 37 albs in HW. Some in beno, some hmg, others elsewhere. Only 3fg at mmg for the majority of the night :eek:
