So, I got into the EQ2 beta.

Slow, laggy and awfull chat system....
Anyone want to trade for a WoW account

They just opened the beta and accepted 1000's of new players, the starting zones will be lagged, there is after all only ONE beta server up, and take another look at the chat system its actualy VERY good, tab'd chats would help to avoid multiple windows... but its not "awfull" by any means.

Okay my first impressions other than it being different.

I'll be kinda vague as not to rape the NDA totally.

At first I didn't like it, the beginning and starting area is very original for a mmorpg but I didn't really take to it (might have something to do with the fact that I hadn't customized the game yet and got thrown right into the action, and man let me tell you this game has options). However, when I got into the main city it started growing on me. The setting was really nice and had lots of atmosphere. The combat system, chat system and everything is very different from WoW in both pace and setup. I get a feeling EQ2 is a bit 'slower' then WoW when it comes to levelling and at the rate you take the game in.

But, I dunno man, so far WoW has got me hungrily waiting for more after the stress test. And with all these nice pvp vids like here and here popping up I'm kinda ready for the World of Warcraft.
