So i brought NWN on a whim

Actully i got neverwinter nights, the two expansion packs and neverwinter nights 2 in one pack

the manual is huge, i miss games with huge manuals, looks deep too with lots of room for replayablity.

about to install

much prefered baldurs gate to either of them though.

the later patches really really improve the game
i played just as it was released and it was shit

you should also download an AI improver from the NWvaults.

the camera is vastly improved, game runs a lot smoother, less bugs etc.

yeah i did complete it by myself but friends got bored, i didnt really enjoy though and still the movement was crap i thought, the UI was crap too being a sorceror always putting my bars away... prob me just being stupid but whole game annoyed me lol, maybe that was it, didnt get any patches

I thought NWN2 was utter crap. I still played it all the way to the end credits... I really like the DnD 3.5 ruleset, was pretty much the only thing that kept me playing.

well now they have released DnD 4.0 im sure there will be a new game out with those rules so you can learn it all over again

as for NWN.. second one is ok, first one i hated - looked ok, but BG1+2 had the soul of a good game, and a good story, NWN was a bit too twee and shallow for me
havent finsihed MOTB for NWN2 yet so reserving judgement

I made a caster and I had spells with really long cooldowns, got sick of it and quit after a week.

Dont think it was NWN2 but I hope they removed the stupid cooldowns?
