I'm not sure it will. Needs a high-end phone to work and it looks pretty intrusive. I know there are plenty of Facebook obsessives out there, but this won't be ubiquitous.

I don't know, the Facebook app on my phone has been incredibly slow recently. Cleared my history and cookies and it only had a marginal effect. Not impressed at the moment.
