any ideas how it will affect the current rvr?

mids and albs will be able to spec it and still have pbaoe disease/spreadheal, but not druids. will it change hibs setup? can we afford loosing one of the current group members?

this will be a tough one :touch:

Ehm clerics dont get spreadheal if they specc for focus shield fyi. And same amount of SH as a hibgroup so no difference.

All hibs and albs basically need a buff shearer so you can make Mid Savages grappleable. ;)

sucks indeed, unbalances RvR even more :(

This is what happens when mythic listens to US noobshamans who want a 5min timer pbae root instead of the best defensive spell ingame...

From my druid point of view I like this a lot, yes shamans can get easier access to shears and shell but if they meet active shearers its mid that loses in the long run. Both of our guild group druids are immune to shearing while the 3 mid healers will be saying bye bye to their specs (and bases if they are pac). I often interrupted healers with my root, now I'm gonna spend that cast to strip their buffs instead. Also if the whole group gets sheared have fun running back to mpk, a mid fotm group can't fully buff itself while a hib and alb group can. A buffbot range nerf would have caused a lot more problems to mids than any other realm.

Anyway this is mostly speculation from 1 night of madness (not many fg fights today, and no good groups out), I guess we'll have to see what a good shaman can do.

aoe buff strippin is on a 4 sec castspeed, easy to resist, and brakes mezz. I wasnt so inpressed by it, and im still 44 nurture. But still was only the first nites impression, prolly will be better when we/I learn it a bit more.

It seems good for mids, but at the same time there are next to no played aug shammies, they are almost all bots from what i can see. Finding healers is hard enough for a group but played shamen are rarer than dwarf soap in this game.

are you joking?
there used to be loads of them...
it's a very very nice class and I have seen it played very well on excali.

I just can't understand how mythic can add something so powerfull to an already uber line, maybe they really are idiots playing it on US servers.

Although sticking it on aug healer line wouldn't have been a huge improvement... but at least that would have limited the utility of mid support somewhat.

Personally I think buff shearing should've gone to Wardens and Friars instead of Druids and Clerics, although I don't know whether Albs would be happy losing a det tank for a warden, but they gain the energy/spirit/body resists, a secondary healer, a good damage dealer, a bger/grappler (albeit without det like a warden), another rezzer...

but that would also be homogenising the realms which Mythic seem to have an aversion to when it suits them (and I agree to an extent)

I got buff sheared for the first time today.. it didn't affect the outcome of the fight, but it was highly irritating trying to figure out which buffs I'd lost :p

Friars have heat, cold, matter ressist buffs.

what'd I get wrong aside from the resists?

ok secondary healing might be pushing it a bit for a friar I guess :p

The key word is "used" here ;)

Most of the played shamen i used to know rerolled as all they were being used for was end as bots performed all other buffing rolls.

But yeah, seems silly to make shamen even more forced to purely spec aug. They really should have put shearing in the cave line to bolster that + taken a long hard look at the useless mend line.....

Or just given buff shearing to us thanes ;)
