I'm guessing you don't actually realise because you smoke therefore are always around it, but there's nothing that even comes close to leaving an aftersmell like fag smoke. I'm not and have never really been an avid anti-smoking person. Most of the time I couldn't really care less. It's hard to deny tho that going into places that are now smoke free as a none smoker is much more pleasant these days.
Smoking has somewhat suffered from being too popular. Most stuff that smells bad enough to actually make you want to vomit is only encountered infrequently. Before the ban you simply couldn't go anywhere without being surrounded by 5 smokers. You can't say that of cabbage.

Seeing as i choose not to smoke i dont see why some one who dose should be allowed to endanger my health while i watch football. Passive smoking is a proven fact not something made up to demonise smokers. I was very pleased when the Emirates Stadium was anounced as no smoking

Well its not because i want anything banned, its because i dont like the idea that the government should have anything to say about this matter. Smoking is legal, and then its up to people to find a way to live with that. That means if non-smoking bars are so fucking popular, then make some more smoke free bars! No one is ever forcing you into a smoking bar, and you'd make a pretty strong statement to you friends by saying you wont go to a smokers bar.

You see, im pretty sure that in a couple of years almost all bars would be smoke free without the government making laws to get it there, but people would still be able to choose whether to go to a smokers bar or not...

Well, we can all agree that cancer sucks, but have you ever considered that many people like to smoke? And no, its not that simple to say that ANYTHING that lowers that number is good. Take this example: Drug 1 cures 10% of a certain cancer while costing 100. Drug two cures 51% but costs 10000. You could save a hell of a lot of money and fight other diseases like diabetes etc etc.

When I was a kid and my parents were 30 I saw them having some trouble with breathing when going up some stairs. Even as a kid and only with that observation I knew I'd never smoke - why? Because I liked to play soccer when I was a kid, grasping for air like a fool while running after a ball wasn't the idea I had of having fun at it.

And you talk about soccer and smoking in stadiums.
