Or maybe a little later than that - In just under 24 hours I'll be getting on a train to start Phase 1 training in the Army.

Its taken around two years of applying and tests and other things, but finally I seem to be there

I dont know how much of a chance I'll get to post here from now on - I've been given a good idea of what to expect, but my free-time is likely to be extremely limited for the next few months at least, and this will constitute the longest break from FH for me since I started posting all the way back in 2004 I expect to start posting again, but I'm half-worried I'll be so interested in quoting FMJ all day that I won't come back at all

So anyway, whether its for a few months or longer than that, I just wanted to say cheers for all the help and encouragement you lot have given me over the years, without you guys n gals I'd have gone mad ages ago (ahem!)

I'll be going in as "other ranks", so working my way up rather than commissioned straight away, joining the Royal Signals - not sure which Regiment yet though. I'll be doing the first bit at Pirbright in Surrey, then its down to Blandford in Dorset after that

Dont worry! I'll be sure to spread the word of Parmo's and Bacon AK-47's where ever I happen to be!
