well, the main reason is to create something different. Just like my x-bow specced armsman (still in progress). I think any line can be good. and if a few people scream that a line is good and can kill a few then suddenly that line will be viable.

If I was starting a cleric, i`d opt for the full " afk phone " specc, this line getting stronger with the introduction of the new ra`s,
Including that time of night when the lady healers seem a little pre-occupied with something else:-

Mastery of Soap Operas, each level bought lenghtens the absence of the healer upto a maximum of 60 minutes, giving a 50% chance of watching corrie directly after eastenders (24 hour timer).

Omfg Baby Needs Changing, a point blank area of affect appetite debuff DoT, for maximum effect cast around teatime.


Avoidance of Hunger, each level bought will slow down manna regen, giving a full 15 minute downtime period to enjoy that pizza/chinese/indian, you also need augmented fat bastard II for this ra.

For the love of God, do not go Smite/enhance If you want to play a smiter, get the spreadheal and leave buffing to a "proprer" cleric/buffbot; with the 1.61 changes you'll basically want a buffbot or two anyway, since no active player would ever spec enhance high enough for the top buffs; basically all enhance is good for then is resist buffs and buffing people who died in the field - which makes smite look more promising all the sudden

In rvr unless you have MoC or your group is owning (so not much healing will be needed anyway) the only healing you will be doing is Instents. Lots of tanks get IP and Paladins get a 100% group instant. As long as clerics have BOF they offer a lot to a group. Most groups need 2 healers in their group anyway.

Smite cleric vs. DD caster
DD casters do more damage per hit but they have to. If they don't drop an orange mob before it gets to them they have to QC a root and run back, if the root is resisted they could be in trouble. Smite clerics DD by pulling and then stunning, this will also drop an orange more as they can get 6 smites off before mob gets to them but if it does no problem we pull out mace and finish off. In conclusion we do less damage with our DD but more in melee and can take more. Our only problem (well all clerics problem) is being unable to escape melee once our mezz has been used, were as all caters get QC and root. There's no real winner both do things the other one can't.

I think a lot of people have totally underestimated the difference changing this spec line DD from 4sec to 3sec cast time and the increased range of stun has done to improve our offensive capabilities.

thnx for discribing how to kill orange con mob properly.
and lets post it on hib/mid forums - they have to know that best spec for a dru is full nature afinity and full aug for a healer, otherwise they cant do orange con mob.

fyi, it's realy hard to kill regr speced druid or reju speced cleric when MoC is on (and with BoF especially), even for full buffed zerker; and his grp has plenty of time to do the things as they want.

Edit: 1st thing - grp doesnt need buffs and resist buffs badly, 2nd - not much healing is needed anyway. Does that grp need a cleric at all?

hangianix, ur skill is high enuf to do thing well with a smith cleric and it's realy great.
But there r many of players who r just smiting all around and assume: oh, we were sooooo close to beat them, prolly we need more ppl next time.

is it a j/k? i thought that PvE is pointless once u have dinged lvl50.
Ofc can build a PvE grp that need only minor healing but unfortunately hibs and mids behave a bit dufferent and dont pay attention to aggro list, protects etc. So im not sure if u can stay any longer w/o a single heal in RvR.

I can smite and heal very well - Thx to handy spreadheals
I think it's a solid spec for smiters( I 'll leave the buffing to my ehanc colleagues) and I would recommend it.
