Smell and taste

Was having a mild pondering today...

I can't taste anything when I hold my nose, or when I get a cold that blocks my nose completely. And when I can't taste anything, it goes completely. I can eat and drink stuff I really don't like, and not have a clue.

I'm not saying I'd eat dogshit, but I'd be reasonably confident of eating it and not being able to taste it....maybe that was a poor example...

Is everyone else the same? Anyone here not got any sense of smell or taste due to injuries etc?

My sense of taste and smell,my sight,my hearing and my sense of touch are fecked everytime I fall out of the pub........................does that count ?

People that see the way I dress say I have no taste but I don't think I smell.

This is what we were taught in school, about 17 years ago. They show how people can be blindfolded and eat onions or potato's thinking they are apples
