Nice to see more GM's around.

That's pure BS. :)

I dont think its bullshit, since every online service wich has as purpose to make money is obligated to keep loged everything for a fixed amount of time. Doesnt matter is internet game, radio station etc... Best example are TV companys, they are forced by law to keep recordet everything they broadcasted for alteast 7days, same goes to Cell Phone companys they have to keep all logs about made/recieved/unrecieved calls, all sms messages etc etc. And please dont tell wtf this is a game ...so what ? its an online method to communicate also...using daoc u can easy setup a plan to bomb US ambasady in some forgotted country ...so imo they should be also obligated by law to keep loged "everything" not just becouse of cheats.

But the difference compared to most of the games is, that banning the account means forever. When they update the radar so it can't be detected by current technique, Mythic only needs to find out how the radar can be detected again and the ones previously caught are in trouble. That's why i think cheaters will get scared of the warning and might actually stop using it.

Well, rumor on the VN Boards has it there was a slight patch to the game.dll file on the US servers just before the clampdown; Mythic claimed it was done to fix a minor in-game problem (spell effects), but the conspirationalists think it was a small change to the server/client protocol that compromised the modified versions of the radar software out there, allowing Mythic to detect them. If we are lucky, Mythic came up with a way of doing small changes to the protocol like this which allow them to "boobytrap" the game now and again even if the radar developers come up with workarounds for the current version.

Wasn't the new CoC update I saw posted here a few days ago practically "made" for the posibility to as you put it.. "boobytrap" the game

Maybe it's because the time it took for you to type that meaningless post could've been used to actually reading the thread and you wouldn't have lost anything in the process.

Well I don't give a rat's ass if they stop using radar. They used it in the past, so ban them. Even if it means loosing 700 ppl (Number of bans/closed accounts in US).
