Standing in DF last night, while running my healer there, I'd buffed up, and was standing amongst the greys when all of a sudden, and infil popped stealth, and backstabbed me...

Thought at this point it was over, but my pet was having none of this, he'd seen the sneaky bugger coming, and threw himself in the way of the blade. I jumped to my feet, and did what I do best, I started PBAOE'ing, whilst my pet started beating on the unfortunate stealther.

All my new found young friends also thought to throw in their hand, and 10 seconds later they were cheering at one dead stealther.

Thankyou gods, thankyou for letting my pet block :)

Possibly :) but as SM's are the poor relatives of the other realms pet classes :p I care not...

Duelling became a lot more fun after they put this in, and I've suddenly learned I can survive longer in group vs group battles.

its almost... fun!

Nah.. you'll just see a lot more suppresion SMs, now that Summoning has been well and truly gutted with 1.65's nerfs to focus shield. (The one thing that line had).

Doubt that a nerf will make a class FotM. :)

hehe, Cabalists get a lovely dot, they're viscous sods... and its too early to spell viscous properly :)

dark line isnt bad, but the level 50 nuke from baseline does similar damage to the darkness lifetap (castable) so the only point in speccing dark (in my mind, get off roo, I didnt mean it) is for variance on damage.

meaning the only worthwhile spec is supp, and thats for PBAOE and debuffs.

and I'm guessing you say that from what? one, maybe two fights?

with my pet standing on me, I'd say its less than 50% and mythic state its 50%, still almost impossible to cast whilst being attacked, just mneans we wait longer to die :) but that gives our healers more chance to heal

Waiting to hear from US players to find out what the scoop is now its live over there. On the plus side if its as bad as I'm expecting I'll probably be so pissed off I'll go take it out on Albs and Hibs just to spread the misery :D

Fear a nerfed SM with nothing to lose and knows he needs 200 friends to get a kill ;)

Not like SMs needed it...

Why not allow sorc pets to do this? After all, they don't have instas and wear cloth. Mid and hib mezzers have greater survivability than sorcs by far.

depending on spec, SM's either have AE or single target mez, obviously not as long range as the sorc one, and our pets con blue, rather than orange, but you're right, we're obviously better off...

they have a nice block too bad the class is useless with the fotm buffbot buffs that give me a total of 74% spirit but hey the blocking is probably for the shitty damage they deal (200 when on top of me and with l33t buffs i have 1800+ hits) :sleeping:
