Ok, ok, I know, seal farming in DF when it belongs to another realm is perhaps not the brightest idea and both times I have been killed, but what gets me is the manner.

Take one lvl 28 Cleric (me, Lake) pulling blues (hey I am a healer, yellows are dangerous).
Along comes a groups of 4 purple middies and they one shot kill me, while I am fighting the mob. You could have at least waited until I had killed it, but noo, I must scare them soooo much that they had to kill me during a pull.

I know it is utopic, but I would not mind if the high level characters, walked up to us lowlies and kind of went BOO! first. I am sure that half the time we would drop dead from fright.

Have all the realms gone so far that the moment you see a member of another realm you have to kill them? As if we poor greys on our own are going to really, really damage you.

As for the second time, purple Kobbie SB got me while I was sitting down recuperating power and endurance, but that gave him a thrill, bragged to all his friends about how he offed a 'stupid' Alb sitting on his own in DF.

Well, I am going to still hope that there might be some compassion on these servers and if I ever see a grey member of an enemy realm, I will /wave or /bow, but leave him alone, it is just not my style.

Sometimes, just sometimes I would like to have a non-violent meeting with a Middie or a Hibbie.

Or am I just guilty of wishful thinking?

this discussion has been had a million times before tho. it basically ends with this; if you are in a hostile (e.g you can be killed) zone you should expect to be killed. sometimes you don't get killed tho. if i see a grey i let him/her live most of the times. there are others like me too, but the thing is you really can't complain since the zone you were xp'ing in was made so that people from different realms could kill eachother there.

On a one on one basis I could understand, but it was just the attitude of 4 highlies taking down a grey during one of his pulls.
At least you do not lose xp anymore.

Anyway, learnt my lesson, will go back to seal farming when Albion has DF, should not be too long as the others never seem to keep it

if you think that your 50 lvl mates stay and watch for mids/hibs finishing with mobs and if they encounter grey they just pass by, you're wrong.
enemy is an enemy, who cares about his con, his exp loss and stuff?

It happens, there were several occasions where the tables have been reversed, in fact almost everytime the Albs get DF they send gank squads to Hib and Mid sides. They rarely stop to wait for greys to finish their kills and rest up (a few stealthers are nice enough to do this) but for the most part it is gank on sight.

You should expect to get killed whilst exping in DF when its owned by the enemy, if someone is kind enough to let you finish your mob and rest up before killing you then that is the exception and you should be thankful.

In my experience though it makes little difference, greys see a full group of purple cons running towards them and they tend to panic and run into agro anyway. Personally, I normally leave the greys alone unless they look like they are going to make an offensive move towards me or my group.

but anyway, you really shouldn't be upset bud, consider it like this:

3 realms.. RAGING WAR!! War, no mercy. Take into consideration the French Revolution, where they would mercilessly drag the wealthy from their homes and cut their heads off with a guilloteine(sp?).

That's kinda how it is here, you see an enemy, you kill. Whether they're a lvl 1 midget caster with no armor and a twig for a staff or a monstrous lvl 50 Troll zerker with 2 flaming axes going hampster on your ass. I suggest you bottle your anger up inside and when you're lvl 50 take it out on the greys in uppland

I killed 4 greys once, at uppland - felt sorry for them, and guided a mid-healer up to them to rez

Anyway, i think it's lame to gank greys, just my openion... but i do love when some sb unstealths /waves and send /kisses.. great fun ... and i gain respect for that person, for not killing me.

I have no respec for SB's, mainly cause they are never alone. I doubt SB's are gimped, but they only seem to hunt in packs of 5.
Most important difference is that the only real players I know who go to Mid or Hib side of DF are lvl 50 paladins or armsman, who solo their way to that side. I know 2 guild members who take great pleasure in fighting red/purple mobs, getting to Mid part, and gank any that log in... Hardly ever see 5 fg go to mid or hib entrance.
The only mids or hibs I see coming to Alb entrance come in groups of 3-4. Guess they are a bit scared that the greys will kill them Then again, nothing wrong with killing an enemy, no matter what con. Grey is just a bit faster. Also, giving them xp deaths is even better...

A while back when I was killing those bandits in Odin's Gate with my alt Kippie two shadowblades popped next to me and blew a kiss. They were pretty friendly and ran off so I continued exp'ing but then one of them returned to kill me in one hit

These things happen, just like getting an exp death in DF. If I see someone (regardless of the con really) I just watch them for a bit and sit down next to them. Somehow I like making friends with them or doing friendly duels better than killing them on a bad moment.

But on the other hands people like Envenom live on things like pissing others off, and you can't expect them not to.

Giving anyone an xp death is lame imho cause we all know how long it will take to xp up once u passed lvl 40. Don't do to others what u wouldn't want others to do to u.

Personally i kill greys when im in the frontier but i do feel quitly so i usually blow em a kiss or dance with em b4 they usually get blown up in my pbaoe

I let a grey finish a mob once, and then took pity on him and actually left him alone. 5 minutes later, after a fight with some yellow mids, I had backed off with literally 1% health left. The same grey comes running along. I wave. F****r kills me. Never again...

Well you gotta accept that some ppl just love to ruin the fun for ppl and will do anything in their power to do so.

Ie last night I went alb side but no one there, so I started farming sapphire guys, ok started to get boring so I went roccots...wow greencon friar, waved and stunned him, dindnt attack him in any way except for the stun...he waved back sat down...

Ohhh i tought a friendly alb, started pulling roccots and just as I pulled I se him stand up and go behind my back and attack me, ended im my favour but stil...im teh grey lover and I think many can agree with me,

You don't leave grays alone. Maybe the RR0 ones, anything above that can potentially hurt you. They can and will kill you if you ignore them.

when i go to mid/hib side of df, I don't hesitate to kill all I encounter and move on swiftly. The longer you wait, the bigger the chance that they will call their friends to set an ambush or come down to help em kill you. Been caught couple of times for not being swift enough but since then, learnt my lesson And yes it is very fun killing them in a RVR zone...thats what it is and if people choose to exp there then expect to maybe get killed. 27 is my record in there from logging behind the portal their side (grey through yellow)

DF is the only time I become merciless to those who will in turn grow to be able to kill me similarly

Saw two mids fighting a mob in bg 1 the other day so I kindly debuffed one mid then dd'd the other - both died shortly after - didnt get a chance to see if they got xp death tho cause alb zerg came rolling in so I had to beat a hasty retreat
