I had something similiar to that and it seemed to try and fit every word in the english language in there somehow. I have absolutely zero idea what the hell it was about. It went from talking about the sea, to drugs, to viagra, to mortgage, to colours..etc. Like the ULTIMATE spam email...but it forgot to mention exactly what it was trying to con me out of.

It's probably random prose inserted to fool spam filters into thinking it's a proper email.

I believe, if the Cardianls elect that Nigerian chap as the Pope, the next set of emails will be along the lines of

Hello, I am a very good friend of <insert new popes 'pope' name here> and I need your help.
While he was head of the church in Nigeria I was his Bishop in Charge of Finanance and I need your help to get some money from Nigeria to the Vatican Bank. Now as you are probably aware, Nigeria does not have the best reputation in the world, but me being a man of the cloth and a good friend of HHtP (His Holiness the Pope) I can assure you that this is all above board. etc etc etc..

Your spam-free address isnt spam free anymore then.

This sort of thing is usually the plain text part of a message, with the spam content as the HTML that most peoples email client will be configured to show.

The 'crap' is there to fool spam filters (well it'll get a few maybe, nothing half decent), its not intended to be seen by anyone. That said its becoming more common to see this section without any real 'spam' content. It seems spammers are increasingly too stupid to use learn how to use their spamming software before sending out a few million mails these days.
