I got myself a new videocard, but my current motherboard isn't SLI-compatible. So, I'll have to buy a new motherboard, but it's been 2-3 years since I last checked into them, so I'm not quite sure what to go for at the moment.
Any idea on the best motherboard overall and the best price/quality-wise?

Think you're confusing a couple of things now Straefm8.

SLI is linking two graphic cards together so they act as one.

I think what you're trying to say is that you bought a PCI-E graphics card but your motherboard only has an AGP slot?

Asus P5B, WiFi is the motherboard i just bought myself. I threw the newest Core 2 Duo processor, Intel E6600 in it and it runs like a dream with 2x Asus Geforce7900GT-TOP graphics cards doing SLi and I get around 12.000 points in 3dmark.

The motherboard has onboard sound which is better than the old Soundblaster Audigy 2 card. It has wireless internet and 2x gigabit LAN connections. This means 3x possilibities for accessing the internet, with crossed cable, regular, or wireless.
