I hate Virgin's EPG... personally think its completely inferior to Sky's, as it their remote control for the V+ too.

Its going soon; Virgin are bringing out a new box with Tivo (I had an original Tivo 7-8 years ago and its still the best HDR with the best UI I've ever used).

The EPG is horrible, the V+ box it's self is superior. 3 Tuners, rather than Sky's 2. So you can watch one program while recording two others. Also Virgin's on demand is miles ahead of Sky's. I really miss not having iplayer / 4od / c5 / itv and a lot of the other Virgin owned content not available so easily.

Yup, Sky isn't even close to competing with what Virgin offers.

That's hardly the point I have broadband that I am happy with. If I can't have the on demand with what I have in my house I sure as hell shouldn't be paying an extra £3 quid a month for something I can't have without paying more on top.

I already have sky broadband so I dont have to pay anything extra and tbh, nothing wrong with sky broadband, one of the best if not the best

That isn't the issue mate, I already have a broadband provider who I am happy with. My Bill went up in Septmeber along with everyone elses with the explanation of them giving us more on demand. Now I can't actually get this so called extra service.

The price rise was a scam, to pay for their 3d service. Anytime is a joke, as is anytime +. The content is horrible. They don't even put their best shows on it, for example An idiot Abroad was not on anytime after the 1st episode.

I've had the HD box for about a week but finally got the TV yesterday (comedy of errors on the shop's part). Am very impressed so far, I watched Spurs trounce Werder Bremen and then some of the Ashes last night, it's all so very pretty. Also Sky Sports News HD is so much better with the smaller graphics and stuff. Am quite hooked on HD right now.

Also *love* the fact that I can just plug a USB HDD into the telly and play mkv's (etc) off of it.

So I try and add sky anytime + to my package and the website says "you do not have the correct hardware to receive Sky anytime +". Shurely shome mishtake as I have the latest HD+ box and sky broadband so I phone them up. "yes, sky anytime + is not yet configured for the latest HD+ boxes"

sky hd is fucking great. we're loving it, got all the sports and movies so its very worth it. theres about 10 hd movie channels, which in itself is quality.
