OK, so for "reasons" I want to put my internet traffic through a VPN. I've got the standard white Sky router model SR101. Is there an idiots guide to this, and what VPN services do you recommend? Don't really need ultra secure probably, just to be able to get past Skys blocking.
I use Hotspot Shield when using a browser and HMA for other stuff but need something for kodi etc.

Use the Tor Browser for getting past blockages.
That seems pretty good, certainly cheap enough. From what I can see though it installs to windows, could I make that work with an android device plugged into the TV? Alternatively if I used a Windows device plugged into the TV would I need to buy 2 instances of the VPN? Overall though seems a lot easier than pissing about with the router.
Hotspot Shield extension (free) works fine when just browsing using Chrome.

I use https://www.unblock-us.com/ which does give an idiots guide and I enjoy the region change option on their site. So if I want to watch something on Netflix in Canada I change it on their site, then to Japan, then to Brazil etc. Obviously it works for other stuff such as things that are only allowed to be viewed in America like certain channels and sports :)

Edit - but yes just change the DNS on the item you want to be in that region etc. So my HTPC is on the VPN DNS and I haven't touched my router.

It works with Apple, Windows, Android, Linux. You don't have to buy 2 instances. i have it on 2 separate PC's without any issues.
