Skill - is that cheating???

I was playing TFC today on the map "well" i was a sniper as usuall on the well, i had 47 frags 12 deaths... and this lame ass guy (im not mentioning any names but "im_a_fucking_moron" you know who you are!) started firing pipebombs at me and calling me a cheater. I asked why and he said "you've been in here 25 mins and got 47/12 youve got to be cheating!!!!" Now i know 47/12 isn't even remotley good to what some people get.

Now this guy had about 3 kills 6 deaths. and when i looked at game info hed been there 30 mins. so is it me or is it when someones not very good they think good or skilled people with high scores are cheating???!!!

i was playing soldier on cz2 and i saw an nme sniper(his name was Jigga), so i chased him and he ran behind some crates so i ran up to him and killed him and he started whinging that i was using "an invisible wall cheat"....clever sod.... :upyours:

This is the problem with cheats....how do you tell the difference between skill and cheats.

In a round of assualt on CS yesterday I saw some guy repeatedly type "low ping is cheating" after dying.
Now I'm no fan of LPBs but I can accept when I'm dead and when I've been beaten, usually by a gang of 6 lads who took acception to me hitting on one of their girlfriends, won't be doing that again for a while.

I really am sick of ppl saying some1 is cheating, I'm really crap at all online fps but I don't go calling some1 who's got 40 more kills than me a cheater. Some ppl seem 2 say it as if it's gonna get them a higher number of kills or something, there's no point.:eek:

It is annoying for skilled people getting high scores.
If I notice someone doing something unusual several times then I'll do something. Unusual in cs being jumping sidestepping crouching and firing 1 shot to the head or one burst of fire behind a crate or door to kill. Then I tell an admin if present to see if he agrees with me and then uses his wrath.
But for dum people skill is experience, practice and knowledge of the levels that they play. Cheating is gay people doing fluky stuff over and over again like I descibed.

Clear cheat here/ DoD, the game where one shot kills no matter what:p Well i was getting raped by this guy the map before, so the next map i joined his team. It soon became clear to me how he was doing it:( I was watching him pick his shots while looking through the wall, then just jumping up in the windows/doorways, and droping his target with ease. It's like totally imposible to combat that in dod as one shot is a killer, and it's like imposable to miss due to 0 recoil on the weps. No it ain't a rant, i got this guy into the open a couple of times when he was on his way to his hideouts, his so called elite skillz were non existant, i beat him every time:p

Okay playing assault today as CT's. I went with my colt to the small back door as I was doing all map, opened door, backed off -some one fired an mp5 into the door. Not sure which side of the door the mp5 fire was coming from i opened again, again i head fire but this time it was as the door started closing. Sounded like it was coming from the crates on my left. Okay, I opened door again threw a grenade towards the crates. Waited opened door and crouched around corner firing my colt -no one there.

Hmm, I thought, as the door closed -i went out again- i heard fire again. Opened door again, noone there, fire as door closed. Okay I knew the bloke was there as I could not see him butcould hear him near crates i opened door again and shot the shit out of the only crate he could hide behind. Got a kill.

Okay sounds quite long i know, took about 30 seconds in game. My point is, to anyone starting to record a demo half way into that, or even from the start it could have been interpreted as a wallhack. The fact was that it was simply map knowledge, common sense and some good head phones.

Its very hard to spot a wallhacker, thankfully most give it away blatently, but it's not to hard to pick incidents like teh one above and get the wrong idea.

I've sat and watched my flatmate playing CS and on several occassions and I've blatently seen opponents (sometimes camping) just on the edge of the screen or as he swirls round to face another direction and he hasn't...so when they kill him he's instantly ranting about how people are cheating (purely out of frustration) etc...

He's not a bad player, so I can only assume that he's concentrating so much on a particular area of the screen that he misses these, (to me), obvious threats.

Just thought I'd add another example of how people can get things wrong
