Skalds

I thought Skalds were complaining of being gimped... doesn't seem like that to me. I PA a skald as she runs past for 127 (piss poor) and then am meleeing for 50-75 per swing. She pulls out her 2h hammer, puts dmg add chant on and is hitting for 120+ per swing (I didn't evade once) plus added dmg of 20-25 per hit. Add to that the dd shout damage of combined 100 and I am a dead infil.

Doesn't seem that gimped to me at all. If I thought it was a fluke it wouldn't be too bad, but I seem to recall being hit for 400+ per swing from another crush skald last time I played my shade, and her resists are maxed.

Like it or not...

Skalds ARE excellent at BG level.

Have one in training.
And a friend has one in thid at the moment (Latte) who he claims has not been beaten 1v1 (or even 2v1) as yet...

BG skalds are tough... /shrug

I haven't even seen any of the supposedly major infestation of Savages yet. I'd kind of like to try fighting one of those one-on-one too. Not that it'll happen.

dam, so much necros whine they are crap! and they are killing my warrior so easy.
what is whining about albs lack of cc? allways mezzed in bg:s hmmm wierd.
sometimes i find solo inf and suddenly infs pop all around my solo char, scouts shooting too so dam far dont even see them, doing more dmg what my warrior.
those insane instastunning pets, someone is chaincasting and killing me, dont drop swet same time.

sure, whenever im next online and in thid with latte im open to any duels... of course finding a secluded spot where we wont get zerged will be hard...

and yes, if memory serves me correct latte has yet to be killed 1v1 and has won both 2v1 fights he has had in BG0/1

When I played my Thidranki Skald on Excalibur (before the days of SC and all that stuff), I was very successful, always used to run around solo and pick off other loners. I can't remember loosing any one on one fights, but then maybe it's comfortable to forget those too I didn't meet all kinds of classes, but I remember a two-handed paladin, an LW champ, a Mace/shield hero and quite a few stealthers of all kinds.

Sometimes manages to take out two enemies at once though, thanks to the mezz shout.

yeah it was flammenvakten I had the misfortune to jump on. Not nice to realise the cute cuddly norse female that you try to rip the throat out of has much bigger teeth than you do

yeah yeah skald´s is very funny to play and they PWN if you know how to play them´. i didnt loose any 1 vs 1 in BG 1 after i got my SC hammer/armor but then again all stats/skills/resists/hits is capped and yes i think i remember a little shade in BG 1 nice that some people dont zerg

i remember a lvl 24 mincer with SC armor/weapon had some nice 1 vs 1 with her untill she died 4 time´s to me then she didnt think it was fun any more and came back with 5 people though you realy know how to play a mincer keep up the good work matey : )
