lifter 3,
then mastery of water 5, then get lifter 5

order very important, you don't want to gimp yourself

The first RA I have been told a skald should get is Ignore pain, a couple of lvl 50 skalds in my guild had real problems in RvR everytime they met a enemy tank which had this, as they did not. It's a high price, but well worth it. Another RA that might be very useful is purge.

For the record, willowywicca and clearbrooks replies are not serious.

Bad boys! Dont be playing with the newbies.

With my skald I have:

Aug Dex 2
First Aid 2
Ignore Pain
Aug Con 1
Toughness 1
Mastery of Pain 2
Mastery of Parrying 2
Avoidance of Magic 1

With 2 remaining realm skill points @~534k rps

First Aid II (pre-req for IP)
Ignore Pain
Purge
Aug Dex II (Pre-rec for MoP)
Mastery of Pain II

By that time, you are rank 5 lvl 1 (553k rp) and should already have some preferences about how to follow.

Well im such a nice person that i burned 14(!) points to be able to give ppl perfect rez. I could have had purge <whine>.

Next i think will be.. hmmm.. moc or purge, and then mystic crystal lore. Then i can begin to think about mastery of blocking and wild healing.. puff puff.

Ok, thx for the reply willowywicca :O I'll do that then :p

Thanks all for the replies... so it seems I should aim to first aid 1/2 then Ignore Pain. And I like soloing too... sometimes its fun to go alone :) and as skald, I got the speed ;)

How about aug. Acuity? It gives charisma to Skalds, and when im troll, im quite low on charisma, since i didnt put those 10poitns to it in start. :/

Aug Dex2 would be nice, have dex1 now. Some ppl said MCL would be nice too.. but I don't see that BIG use in RvR.. maybe more to PvE.

the highest DDs draw shitloads of your power ... MCL is a must, Serenity is nice if you can afford it.

Hellskor, hate to contradict you there but.. In PvE, skalds are out of power no matter what. PoX helps in that we can do our DD’s a bit more often.

In RvR, perhaps 1 time in 30, the battle is not over yet and you are still alive when your power runs out. MCL in those situations would be nice to have but I am very much not convinced it is worth 3 points.

For a skald who is still sub 40, MCL _may_ be worth it.

If I am not mistaken you can respecc your RAs twice. So my advice for lower levels (not only Skalds) is: spent the few RAs that you can afford on things that help you level. For all chars which cast in some way this includes MCL, Aug. Acuity and Serenity.

When you ding 100K RPs (dunno the exact number atm, but around that) respecc to IP as this decides battles.

IP takes 23 RAs (including FA 1&2 that you need first), so as long as you don't have them my suggestion would be:

MCL
Aug. Acuity 2
Serenity 1
Aug. Dex 2
Mastery of Pain 1 (maybe 2)
Aug. Con 1
Toughness 1
Avoidance of Magic 1 (maybe 2) <-- won't help in PvE but when you start RvR

I currently have:

First Aid II
Ignore Pain
Avoidance of Magic II
Toughness II
Augmented Dexterity II
Mastery of Pain I
MCL I

Dunno if that's it tbh, but I can't check since I'm at work now ;)

As a troll is more important aug dex than aug cha since we have it low and our epic armour is based mostly srt/cons/cha,and as you know with a low dex you will miss more and parry less....

D u know how hard is missing a hit to a mana chanter ?:p

Ah silly me... forgot totally /respec :p

So im still 38, so I guess I should spec myself to fit 100% in PvE.
Now have

Aug Con 1
Aug Dex 1
Aug Acuity 1
First aid 1

Guess my next step would be MCL.. and after getting more levels, respec more fitting to RvR.

Thanks all for the tips :)

Dexterity does not change the chance to hit. For skalds it only affects the chance to parry, and it can be discussed how useful that is.
