SiSoft Sandra Wierdness

My IBM 36gig 10k rpm SCSI hdd and Adaptec 39160 beast scored less than a 5.4k rpm IDE drive. Yet it is in every day use significantly faster than my previous IBM 75GXP 7200rpm IDE hdd.

Strange

IBM IDE ATA100 7.2Krpm [NTFS, Win2k] = 18953kB/s

According to sandra's own value these should be much higher
~ 22000kB/s for ide and ~36000kB/s for scsi

Any ideas?
