You may think my comments were 'bullcrap' fair enough, but I think the same to your sentiments. From this situation, a ten year relationship and jumping into something what 2-3 weeks after with someone new that thing called rebound isnt just a street name, it's a change in psychological patterns which can develop panic and irrationality.

And 3 months crying and ben and jerrys isn't anything close to what I even said, I said learning to be single and finding yourself. As usual you're jumping into threads where I'm sure you're opinion isn't even wanted let alone regarded.

Actually only thing i jumped on is your opinion on people who move on to a new relationship quickly being pathetic, deranged and other lovely words. Funny how you changed from ""are" to "can" in one swoop post though.

Yeah, rebound is a perfectly normal thing, but even if someone is married 10 years, doesn't mean they -can't- find their life partner the very next day and it certainly doesn't mean theyre "wrong in the head".

But hey, keep reflecting like you always do, mister mentally perfect :p

Oh and don't try that old yawn excuse of "you're being toht", it didn't work before, it doesn't work now. Especially since you obviously missed my post on page 1.

who goes for that??

this is what I was asking about in my last post with the ethical dilemma of going on a date on behalf of someone else (wasn't actually talking about myself was asking Amp) and then you as the tester actually like the person yourself...I mean what's to stop you just saying 'hay man it was horrible' and then running off with buxom babes instead of the person who asked you to check them out lol.

Its part of my own business, I go on first dates on behalf of others and see what their dates are like.

for some reason I can now only think of this.

to lick? cheers Cal, I'm sure there are still some things I wasn't aware that you can destroy my ignorance of.

one of my workmates was talking at lunch about the time honored army principle of the soggy sock. when I asked what that was, he explained the phenomenon of hot bags, which is basically hot bunking, but with sleeping bags. soggy socks is when the person in the sleeping bag before you leaves his fresh wank sock in there as a pressie.

so, three things learned today that I'd rather be without. :(

You learn to live a single life quite easily, remember to enjoy the freedom ti gives and don't get too fast into a new relationship. You're free to eat what you want, act how you want, go where you want and no one to answer to. Enjoy it, it's the best part about being single, freedom absolute.

Regarding finding someone, i go by a simple rule; don't search it.

It'll come. Go to bars, be social, don't try to find someone and eventually x meets y and particle z hops into the chancemobile and drives your way.

The trust etc issues are always iffy, even after 40 years, but if you don't have some level of blind trust, you won't get far.

Will this mean people might hurt you? Ofcourse, but if you don't take things too seriously, it won't hurt that much. So, don't overthink things, thinking is your worst enemy in relationships.

Also have some fun, snog a stranger, hyump the mailman, etc. You have no one but yourself to answer to and you can tell yourself to shut up.

.
quotage for sake of completness

hehe I remember seeing a show called weeds once and these two guys were getting stoned on the couch and they said to the woman, 'Hay what do you call that thing between the arse hole and the scrotum?' and she looks at them and says 'the coffee table' hehehe ....

...they were sat either side of the coffee table ^^

Ez' I am in the same boat too. .

I let her take me for a ride after she ditched me and now I am hurting more than ever, I came to my sense last night and I've burned all contact with her for now. She dumped me two weeks before my dissertation hand in date and cited not wanting to be in a relationship as the reason. She wanted to be friends, I said thats not going to be possible. I was weak and needed the comfort so went back on my word, I couldnt afford to lose my best friend aswell as my girlfriend at the same time when I had some much pressure and stress.

Even though she suggested the friends thing I was the one that was always trying to make it work, making conversation etc.. I feel like an idoit now I should of just let her be but anyway, shes already lining up the next guy, so that was bollocks ey'.

What I'm doing now is working on buildling myself up again as an individual. Relationships take two whole people, its pointless rushing into something when you are not ready. Take some time out, do the stuff you've always wanted to do and if you meet someone great, if not just keep on doing what you love.

It's actually working well now, I did have to phone his folks and shift responsibility of his mental wellbeing on to them because as I explained I no longer have the right or responsibility to look after him in that way any more but just being friends is working for us for now.

Different people cope with things in their own way, theres a guy at my work who swears platonic relationships cannot work and it's best to sever all ties and just move on, thats his view and it works for him; this might not work long term for us but we'll see. I have set rules though, like I do not blow out existing arrangements to do stuff with B2 instead and complete honesty and if I have something to say I have to say it because I'm not bottling anything up and just making myself hurt to save others feelings.

I think people see it as either it's not closing the bf/gf relationship properly and is a potential way for one person to use the other as a back up plan if they cannot find anything else to do or anyone else to be with, but like I said it's not for me (can't speak for him because as demonstrated I know not what happens in his head) and we'll just see how it goes...I'm not counting on anything being long term ever again tbh.
