Let's keep this one down to ten aswell, people might get a bit silly naming loads of singles no-one has heard in order to gain "musical penis size +1".

My vote goes to one of:-

Muse - Hysteria
Grafitti - What is the Problem
Rolling Stones - Sympathy for the Devil (N*E*R*D remix)
Billy Talent - Try Honesty

Do they have to have been released? Otherwise;

Well, atleast i think it was released as a single.

I think it was released abroad, and the video made it onto MTV and the like over here.

Date with the Night was class - as was Pin.

Radiohead's 2+2=5 was mega - I got to review that for UMIST's magazine, which was nice.

One of my favourite songs of this year is The Last Song, by the All-American Rejects. Fantastic tune.

I also like Mad World, by Gary Jules and Michael Andrews.

And for my dance music choice, I'll have to say Cry Little Sister, by the Lost Brothers.

Yes!

I'd also stick on 'Frontin by Nerd, the Intertiac ESP EP from The Mars Volta, and maybe a Sean Paul track.

I'm getting a bit sick of it now but the defining single of the year for me was I believe in a thing called love - The Darkness. Not necessarily the song I liked the most this year but I will always remember it first when people hark back to '03 in the future.

Beyonce - Crazy In Love. That would definitely be my first choice. Just such an explosive song, sort of thing that can be played anywhere - TV, radio, rock clubs, dance clubs, hip hop clubs, bars, McDonald's, kids' parties, courtrooms - and get everyone moving.

Definitely Muse - Hysteria. Not much of a fan normally but that and Time Is Running Out really impressed me.

Radiohead 2+2=5. Really not sure about their other choices of singles... why not Where I End And You Begin? Or Wolf At The Door?

Radio 4 - Dance To The Underground. Just a superb track.

The Darkness - Thing Called Love. Just great to dance to when drunk.

Massively, massively overplayed, do DJ's just not get sick and tired of playing the same song night after night, i know i get tired listening to it. :/

I liked it when it first came out, but once you've listened to it after the 300th time, it gets just a little "old".

Curse of a song that can be played anywhere (gets played everywhere). Still single of the year.
