Simcity 4 help needed

at work i am using a pc which has the maximum rez off 800x600
and simcity upon install is running at a much higer rez. i have tried changing the rez via the config file but when the game is loaded up it switches back to a higer rez. can anyone help?

On the shortcut for Simcity 4 on the desktop (if you don't have one, make one), in the properties, add "-r800x600" to the end of the target line.

So, (if installed in the normal directory), it would look like this:

"C:\Program Files\Maxis\SimCity 4\Apps\SimCity 4.exe" -r800x600
