Anyone remember these three spotty oiks that got a multi-million record deal from Sony at 15 for a crappy Nirvana rip off album?
My brother lent me two recent albums of theirs now they've grown up, and I must say I'm most impressed. Songs like "Emotion Sickness", "The Greatest View" and especially "Across the night" sound like nothing else I've listened to before...the latter in particular is excellent, a very strange song mixing heavy as **** guitars with cabaret-style big band riffs and a peculiar but very catchy vocal line.
I must admit I flinch every time I hear the lyrics to "Song For The Year 2000" ("We are the youth"? Pleease) but it rocks nonetheless.
