That's the sound of some of the nerve endings in your ears dying! Fun fact eh?

They say that anal sex can cause ringing in the ears.

Were you bummed unknowingly last night?

Tinitus aint no laughing matter. My cousin (a big-club DJ and DnB producer of years gone by) got permanent tinitus a few years ago when he was in the studio and blew some of his equipment. Needless to say he doesnt enjoy it much. Don't be a fucking idiot, it will make you go insane.

I don't care how good concerts are, nothing is worth losing your ability to hear.

As a musical person myself, even at club level I would never want music played so loud that it hurts people.

Sure loudness and the power is great, bass that pummels your chest every beat and the highest crescendo's dominating everything is awesome. But it doesn't have to be so loud it's painful and you actually avoid doing certain things because you don't want to damage your ears.

At some point in the last 10 years volume became a selling point for clubs to attract new customers, although I don't think it's the same any more, it was frustrating then.

Yeah, and there's quite a few quiet spots - it's only really LOUD on the dancefloors and we provide ear protection to whoever wants it.

Wasn't a gig :p Was just a room with no padding on the walls so there was no sound absorbtion =< - Still actually ringing now (1:20pm) - It should disappear (As it's going down! ;o was reallly bad when I posted this, this morning)

I can actually hear myself speak now, which is good ;o ... I can actually speak now which is even better. =D

Give hearing back and I'll be fine =D

sounds like your ears took some damage. I'd give the clubbing a rest for a while tbh, seriously. your ears do *not* get better once they're fucked. I'm not kidding. or, go to Callous' club, and use their cool service to protect yourself. you'll still hear the music just fine, but the nasty in the noise will be cut slightly to spare your ears.

Nah, I won't be going out for a little while - Was actually the first time I went there in nearly a month. (Usually just relax in a pub about 10 min away) I should of honestly expected it, was pretty much living next to the speakers for about 1 1/2 hours.

Cheers for the advise though, definitely going to be avoiding there for a little while. (1 week holiday starting today, and lots of college work after that)

(You know I found out yesterday my ex girlfriend can't listen to Nine Inch Nails (industrial band, really good) because I use to listen to them? =( Made me sad when I asked her to 'dance' and she said no because it was that band)

I tend to suffer tinitus once in a while and the best way of getting rid of it is early nights in bed and Ginkgo Biloba from Hollands and Barretts
