From what I gathered you could set the line limit on people's Sigs that reply to your post?

I'm saying why not just limit all accounts to a set amount of lines, rather than letting the user decide, as I guarentee most posters havn't set a line limit, I know I havn't..

They should just ban DAoC players from having sigs, that'd solve the problem.

I might be wrong, but I get the feeling some of these people might just be lame enough to manually paste a sig at the bottom of every post anyway....

Hi guys

The parser and one or two other things just need to be implemented and tested, so hopefully the signatures will be back to normal in the not too distant future, but please be patient, as DBs is a very busy man :D Thanks to Trebz and DBs for their help.

Kind Regards

Jonty

P.S. Please don't get at DBs or anyone else, the problems were pretty much unforeseeable, and he was only trying to make the forums a nicer place for you :(

And how exactly would you go about doing that? Theres no tick box on your account options saying "I'am a DAoC player, penalise me!".

I am just testing the parser which will allow me to turn back on vbcode and still limit the use of certain vbcodes within signatures.

Be patient.

Very weird just got this at the top of my screen on BW:

function vbCodeParser ($String) { $References = array( //"/(\[)(b)(])(\r\n)*(.*)(\[\/b\])/esiU", "vbCodeFormat('b','\\5')", // //"/(\[)(code)(])(\r\n)*(.*)(\[\/code\])/esiU", "vbCodeFormat('code','\\5')", //
Code:
 //"/(\[)(color)(=)(['\"]?)([^\"']*)(\\4])(.*)(\[\/color\])/esiU", "vbCodeFormat('color','\\7')", // [color=x] //"/(\[)(email)(])([^\"]*)(\[\/email\])/esiU", "vbCodeFormat('email','\\4')", // [email] //"/(\[)(email)(=)(['\"]?)([^\"']*)(\\4])(.*)(\[\/email\])/esiU", "vbCodeFormat('email=','\\7','\\5')", // [email=x] //"/(\[)(font)(=)(['\"]?)([^\"']*)(\\4])(.*)(\[\/font\])/esiU", "vbCodeFormat('font','\\7')" , // [font=x] //"/(\[)(i)(])(\r\n)*(.*)(\[\/i\])/esiU", "vbCodeFormat('i','\\5')", // [i] //"/(\[)(img)(])(\r\n)*(.*)(\[\/img\])/esiU", "vbCodeFormat('img','\\5')", // [img] "/(\[)(list)(])(.*)(\[\/list\])/esiU", "vbCodeFormat('list','\\4')", // [list],[*] "/(\[)(list)(=)(['\"]?)([^\"']*)(\\4])(.*)(\[\/list)(((=)(\\4)([^\"']*)(\\4]))|(\]))/esiU", "vbCodeFormat('list=','\\7')", // [list=a],[list=1],[*] //"/(\[)(php)(])(\r\n)*(.*)(\[\/php\])/esiU", "vbCodeFormat('php','\\5')", // [php] //"/(\[)(quote)(])(\r\n)*(.*)(\[\/quote\])/esiU", "vbCodeFormat('quote','\\5')", // [quote] //"/(\[)(size)(=)(['\"]?)([^\"']*)(\\4])(.*)(\[\/size\])/esiU", "vbCodeFormat('size','\\7')", // [size=x] //"/(\[)(u)(])(\r\n)*(.*)(\[\/u\])/esiU", "vbCodeFormat('u','\\5')", // [u] "/(\[)(url)(])([^\"]*)(\[\/url\])/esiU", "vbCodeFormat('url','\\4')", // [url] "/(\[)(url)(=)(['\"]?)([^\"']*)(\\4])(.*)(\[\/url\])/esiU", "vbCodeFormat('url=','\\7','\\5')" // [url=x] ); for ($i=0; $i

Yes, dysfunction, that's part of the code. And no, I didn't just hit random keys on the keyboard in making it ;) hehe.

That was my bad as I made it an include file and mistakenly took out the php tags :p

Anyway the parser seems to be working so thanks Jonty.

I don't think Trebz or DBs would agree with you if you saw the conversation we had earlier today ;)
