Ein isn't "1". Ein is what can be compared to "a/an" on English, it's like "Ein Hund" ( = A dog).
So, Eins+i made more sense to me, that's why xD

Ty bloodclot, so I don't have to.

@Sourcream:
That's right. It's Ein Bier. I never said it wasn't tho. I just said it was EinS, Zwei, Drei.
The thing is just that the german number "1" is always Eins. In your schoolbooks, if the pages are alpha-numerical it wont say "Seite Ein", it will say "Seite Eins" (Page 1).
Ein Bier translated to English would kinda mean A bier rather than one bier.
Although you can kind of argue about it, since the S is cut down in many cases such as Tausendeinhundertsechsundfünfzig (thousandonehundredfiftysix) or Siebenhunderteinundsechzig (Sevenhundredsixtyone).

And just to bitch, Bier is masculine not feminine, thus it's EIN bier and not EINE xD

Still Eins is more common, end of story.

And btw wtf it's my native language Einsi :p
