I actually can't think of any unless you count A Perfect Circle as a side project for Maynard as well as sort of a collaboration...

Aphex Twin's other releases as Caustic Window, Polygon Window et al aren't really side projects either, as it's just him as usual isn't it?

Anyway, ramble on maxi, ramble on.

Brad - Stone Gossard took a little break from Pearl Jam and hooked up with a singer/poet friend from Seattle to come up with a superb mellow album. Funky and soully with very slight rock tinges.

After Stone went back to Pearl Jam to carry on megastardom the other members of Brad continued the band as Satchel and I remember their first album "EDC" was great but I never did get the second, although I heard from friends it was also good.

I have high hopes for the KC accidental LP which I've yet to actually listen to - its named after a track by Broken Social Scene, and I'm fairly certain it includes at least two of the BSS elite.

This qualifies it for side-project, most certainly. boo ya.

Also I liked the Alice in Chains Side project Mad Season.
