I got meself sidplay and downloaded a f*ckload of ripped Commodore 64 Sid's about 2 years ago.

Just rediscovered them (well - I was pissed when I set the download off and forgot about them). Coooooooooooooooooooooooooooool. (for geeks).

Driller by Matt Gray anyone?

The Last Ninja by Ben Dagleish?

Justaboutfuckinganything by Rob Hubbard??

They're surprisingly listenable considering they only had 3 channels to play with - some of the music from the later games is pretty impressive!

I mean. Is anyone else as bored as me?

What? To my hard-drive?? On my laptop??? Across my NAT-ed network????

Nah :)

Google Sidplay and you'll find the player and links to the sids. (I downloaded a compilation of fuckloads of sids and it was all zipped up to a nice and manageable 35 meg!!)

ooo Rob Hubbard was king. I remember some really good tunes on those hacker messages that came with pirated games. I think interceptor had a good one.

For some reason, I'm now thinking about Jeff Minter's 'Sheep in Space', and the music that went with that. Now if only I could remember the name, it was a cover of a piece of classical music.

I seem to remember Firefly having a good soundtrack for its age.

I did exactly the same thing on Sunday, I got every tune as far as I know. Sanxion is the best tbh.
