How often did that happen to you? You just managed to build a decent group (for RvR or PvE) and suddenly some peeps just drop out without saying a word?
Well..maybe you are lucky and get a reply after several /sends and get telled that they are joining a guildgroup.
Okay..it's his right. But why ffs couldn't he tell that BEFORE he left? Or maybe think one step further and give the group a timeframe to adjust to that and find someone else who joins them?
Today that same thing happened to me four times. I just joined or have build a group and suddenly everyone drops out (best example was Black Dragon yesterday...three members left the group and only one of them gave us an explanation before).
Now the GM's of those guilds may say that it is better for their teamplay to start a guildgroup cause everybody knows everyones styles, way to play the game, etc etc. Could be true...but that also means that players who have not joined such an Super-Uber-I-am-tough-guild have quite a disadvantage. If the only goal this guilds want to achieve in this game is to farm as many possible realmpoints in the least possible time - then I am definately playing the wrong game.
I mean..common...look at the chronicles...How many of the guilds listed there are pure RvR-guilds? How many new guilds have formed recently with only that one purpose? Namely to farm rps? Most peeps in those guilds have never left Druim Ligen after the bindstone was placed there. Heck, if Mythic would pack all zones below Connacht and Bri Leith into an addon - no one of these guys would get it.
Maybe all this pure RvR-guild are good for Hibernia..but its definately bad for the players who just like to play the game and RvR on a not-so-regular-basis.
Let the flaming begin..................
