SI freezes on IP connection

Log in with the new SI client, gets to the nice new spangly picture, starts communicating with the server "Communicating with xxx ip" and freezes.

Have reinstalled, no effect. Any ideas?

are you running Zone Alarm , if so you need to grant SI access permission to the net

I have the same problem and i aint running zone alarm, and firewall is disabled for playing daoc. It's just crazy, it used to work when i uninstalled the game and reinstall it but now nothing no more

if u are running XP make sure that the built in firewall is off and that QOS is also off all in network properties.

I used to have same problem with AOL - changed the access telephone number and it cured the freezing.

Though I can now access SI with BT isdn or AOL modem - I LD as soon as I log on with AOL isdn if in SI zone.

i aint running xp, running on ME and i'm connected with ADSL

ISP? and connection method?

Ie USB modem, internal modem, Router through a lan etc etc

All details would be nice
