I am still debating wether or not to reactivate my US account and buy a copy of the US SI since some shops here in Denmark will sell it. But it all comes down to how much fun I will have with the skald at 50, and if I choose to level up alts until first quater 2003 or not.

Ofcourse it also comes down to how the game si recieved in the US, wether the new classes are bugged or not living up to the expectations and if there si really so much new that I can't wait for EU version. Time will tell :)

Hehe, that Lion King thing was great, I loved the look of the weapons savages use. Cool how they rest too :)
That Day's Work video though, sigh.

It's worth it when you're on broadband and download it in under 3 minutes :p

I am on broadband and I downloaded 3 movies at the same time in a matter of minutes. Just that I am not thrilled by new shadows.

To be honest, I'm not impressed by any of the graphical upgrades to SI.
They're not much of an upgrade IMHO, not as nice as Morrowind, and don't come near everquest 2, or asherons call 2 even.

I think Mythic are going to need to do a bit more to get this game looking as nice as the next generation of MUDs appearing. The trees need a drastic upgrade, plants need to be upgraded from simple textures, grass and plants should be animated by wind. The water is ok, but it should be more transparant and interactive.

Considering the low polygon count used throughout the game, it still achieves nice atmospheric effects, which is a thumbs up for it.

Shadows? Neverwinter nights, now thats how shadows are done =)

Yeah but you must take into consideration that a small graphical update and way better FPS beats in large battles beats the shit out of über nice graphics... I'd say many will agree.

Dam right mate, much rathe have the frame rate sorted. Can you imagine playing something with the graphical beauty of EQ2 at the sort of frame rates we get in large scale RvR, doesn't appeal to me at all.

Anyway, as long as they've updated the textures in the grass i'll be happy. I spend 90% of my playing time looking at it, and it is getting a little bland
