Noone working at GOA gives a flying **** what some dude pm'ed u with on camlann..

If u look in ur daoc folder there is a small txt called: "PVP RULES"

And it clearly states that abusive language etc will not be looked into, they refer to the smart /ignore feature implemented in the game

- You are strongly advised to use the "/ignore" command when having a "language" problem with another player.

Sure racism is one of the worst existing harrassment, but even if you report the person, do you know for sure that GOA will care about something that happens on the PvP server? There have always been and will always be idiots who do not really understand what they're saying. That's why I don't like Camlann myself and by playing there you kinda accept that such things might happen, because people are always jealous and think their opponent has some kind of advantage, be it true or not.

one of the best parts about pvp is the whine no matter what i said to you i prolly thought it was fun anyway discussions/whines/normal chat or whatever just makes the boring times in the game alot more fun.

True, but then do think you can limit this by the use of banning etc. Not saying that someone should be banned for swearing, because as has been pointed out there is the /filter. However, even with the filter you can still go way beyond what is reasonable don't care whether its racist sexist or just making very personal remarks as I see no real difference, it has the same purpose.

Not saying people should be expected to go around talking like some 1930s BBC presenter, but if people went around talking to others in real life like I've heard some people doing in game they'd spend most of their life bleeding in a gutter. Suppose thats the reason though they can insult and abuse someone and they aren't going to find themselves on the wrong end of a right kicking.
