Shootings in DK

Dunno if non-DK people have heard about this, but recently (1-2 months) there have been ALOT of gang related shootings in Copenhagen between biker gangs and.. who precisely is the other made up of?

As I see it, it is a fight over who should control the illegal drug market, mainly hash and pot.

Anyways, this is pretty scary, so what do you other danes think is going on, and can be done about it? Other people are of course allowed to voice their opinion

I think its pretty simple. Legalize the fucking drug so they have one less thing to fight about.

i seem to recall it was gangs consisting second-generation immigrant, and what drugs are you exactly talking about ? if its marijuana, then perhaps we could implement a system like they got in Amsterdam tho i doubt it would get approved, if its any drugs harder then that, NO WAY, they are simply too destructive to the human body.

looks pretty crazy from photos ive seen almost like baghdad in parts of Nørrebro! my parents used to live there before they moved to Ishøj (which now is in a similar state)

seems to me it just has such a lovely volatile mixture of people all crammed into a small area, turks, kurds, pakistanis (though they seem to be doing quite well for themselves!), former yugoslavians add to this the crazy biker gangs, some drugs and the money from said drugs and it isnt exactly going to be tiddlywinks

its not so much people coming in now, its people who moved to denmark who couldnt read or write in their own language, and so couldnt teach their kids how to and then didnt bother helping them learn danish properly either leaving us with a huge number of people who are effectively illiterate in 2 languages, know little enough about their own culture and not much about the culture they live in

The climax now is caused by the immigrants coming into the illegal activities (which are more than there should be due to failed policies) are forming groups on their own, either by choise or because they aren't welcome into the existing groups that does illegal activities (rockerne), and thus there is competition between gangs and gang-fighting emerges.

sooo many dead in Denmark... really... Besides, Hash isnt the only drug. Heroin, Cocain (thanks to Corknuzt!) and much more - legalization wont help. People seem to think that it wont end up on the streets still. Even if they legalized it, do you really think they'd stop fighting?
Personally i dont believe in legalizing it but thats another story.

Its as much about territory, showing cohonas and revenge. Illiterate 2nd generation immigrants? they might not be good at writing danish but im pretty sure they are fluiently enough to communicate with danes, because its their largest source of income

depends what you are talking about really, there is talk of moving ecstasy from class A to class B in the UK at the minute because they finally realised that the people who occasionally die whilst on the drug dont die from the actual drug. usually either drinking too much water or not enough.

I love Copenhagen, I've lived here my entire life, but if I cross the bridge and literally walk 100metres, I feel like I'm in a warzone! I talk the bus the school through this waszone, every single day, and I'm so glad I live on the right side of the bridge!
