Just received an email from ebuyer saying that Citylink failed to deliver my parcel.

I've been sat right next to the doorbell all morning and they haven't left a missed delivery note, so to me it looks like they never even bothered trying. I'm so pissed off right now.

Are there any decent computer etailers that use a reliable delivery service?

I've had the exact same experience of citylink - i figure they dont bother to deliver a certain percentage to save time/costs.

That's the reason they're affectionately called ShittyLink.

They're not as shit as Amtrak :p

Who no longer exist, thankfully.
Also had many issues with Shittylink, not many people that don't tbh :)

Only worse people are a company called Parcels2Go who are in fact outright thieves. If not content with no delivering parcels, they rather enjoy stealing them and conveniently losing all dockets and paperwork relating to your goods :)

Sorry to be devils advocate but I've had maybe 20-30 flawless deliveries from Citylink.

if you paid for "next day" delivery (or whatever)
and they havent tried, no card, etc.. then either they or the retailer owe you a refund for postage? cos its no turn uped.

The retailer owe you. You've got nothing to do with the courier, you shouldn't have to deal with them at all - the retailer is responsible for getting the package to you.

Too true nath. I had a next day thing from ebuyer (which costs an arm and a penis) that didn't arrive. They gave me back all the money I paid for delivery.

I've emailed ebuyer complaining about it. I shall see what they say.

Chilly: I've lived places before where I've never had a problem with Citylink, and places (like now) where they're useless. I imagine different depots have completely different levels of competency.

Don't they have certain drivers who always deliver to the same area? I know they were awful when I lived down south, rarely bothered delivering. It came to a point where i nearly stopped using Ebuyer simply because they used citylink. Up here in Northampton I have not had a single problem though. Next day stuff from Ebuyer usually arriving before 10am the following day. The driver was also good enough to phone me once and arrange for the parcel to be left next door once when I had popped out to the shop early one day.
