Seriously how can this company still be in business?
Ordered a new rock band guitar to arrive before the weekend so me and my mates can have a go at bass and guitar at the same time. Paid a bit extra for next day delievery only to see the dreaded words, your order has been dispatched by city link.
Delievery time was scheduled for 1200pm friday, at present the time is 130am saturday and the status is "in our network" so next day has gone out of the window.

Whats my best course of action now, I've email amazon through the "where's my stuff" section of the account page explaining to them of the continued failure of shitty link. Will I get my next day delivery money back?

If I get to the checkout stage of a website and find their only delivery option is city link, I'll go elsewhere.

After my "next day" graphics card taking 2½ weeks and my MP3 player going to the wrong city...

EDIT: good luck getting through to them on a weekend - any number I found for them while chasing my gfx card were closed and none of the people i spoke to during the week would give out direct depot numbers. I also seriously doubt you'll get any cash back and if you did, you'd pay more in phone bills chasing it

Nice, my vendor just told me it was in the hands of the courier and nothing they could do about it :/

DPD tends to be very good delivery wise, although can't say I've personally had any issues with CL either.

felt the need to write a letter of complaint to shitty link, I don't expect anything of it but I feel better having vented.

They can get away with it because theres a shortage of distributors and really high demand - we ought to start up a competing service!

Shitty link service depends where you live, some areas have a good driver, most don't.

I wouldn't have thought so, the recession hit the average Lincolnshire high street retailer pretty hard.

my best mate works for city link head office, used to work in a couple of depots. apparently 90% of the delivery staff really just don't give a shit and nick half of the stuff they're meant to deliver.
