Shield hero

I am making a sheild guarder hero (50 sheild, 50 weapon)

But what weapon type should i specc in, most good guarder's are using blades ( most are using sickles can anyone tell my why? ), but when i asked on mirc most ppl said blunt.

So please tell me whats the best weapon to specc in when your a guarder and if i should use a high speed or a slow one..

Sickles are good cause they are very fast speed. A lot of hybrid (50spear/LW, 42+ shield etc) heros use a sickle just to break bladeturn before switching to spear / LW.

I think the blade styles work better with shields than blunt.

Pierce, and use dirk fastest weapon possible, uber for bt popping

Seriously, Blade styles are pretty gash really, then againt blunt isnt much better, but blunt is good for pve too

1. Pierce is best against support classes - use a guarded rapier.

2. 2nd rear style for pierce has a snare - this will serve u well until u can afford pf.

3. Until style review blades suck coz u aint ever gonna use a reactionary off block in rvr.

Pretty much yes, when the fight turns and you have the upper hand, use rear or side styles, with a nice slow 1 hand, damage is pretty good

Yea its fantastic dmg, like 300..
Ive got the 4.4spd blunt, and no qui on my template, and tbh its far to slow. Had a 3.2? crafted now, much better
If your going to make S/S Hero, they are 100% defence, I thought I could do both, but tbh it sucks at offence
