Shield Caps?

Just 2 quick questions...

Has Parry/Blocking been capped along with evade at 50%?

And... Does any + above 50 give you the standard 0.5% more or is it reduced or even nothing?

No, evade is the only one which has been capped.

The +0.5% per skillpoint isn't affected by diminishing returns no, so spec above 50 still works for those skills.

But block/parry is still bugged in group vs group combat according to the armsman and warrior teamleaders. The # of ppl in group still has an effect on block/parry rates apparently, even after it was supposedly fixed.

Ive read on some boards that 64 is the figure to bare in mind - i.e. 50+14 is the most that you will receive any benefit from. Can't find confirmation officially though.

Check Grab Bag on Herald. Can't remember which one but the Answer was that there isn't a Hardcap for Blocks atm.


And Quality on Shields doesnt affect Blocks.

yep over 50 spec helps, but as Tranquil said, u still dont block/parry much when rvring in groups. Easy to prove this too. When in rvr and seeing an enemy group, go fight with a tank and see how little u both block and parry, and then go duel someone from your realm and see how much more u block and parry.

Funny thing is that they said in a earlier patch that quality DOES affect blocking. But it doesn't matter anyways, a 100% shield is worth the cost due to it's cheap craftingcost and 32 imbuepoints .

Just a though; If you block/parry less in RvR, when you use engage on an invader, will you still block 95%?
