Taken the plunge and lashed out on a classic double-edge razor with a badger hair brush and proper glycerin based foam after reading this interesting article on the lost art of shaving - http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6886845/

And to think for the last 15 years I'd shave and then shower - doh !

So, how do my fellow primates remove their whiskers in the morning ?

Disposable/Mach 3 :p
so long as you use a moisturiser afterwards to keep your skin soft i found it doesnt really matter too much what you use tbh

heh im a mach 3 user too.... read that article tis very interesting... I always shave when I come out the shower.... usually leave the shower on so I can clean up afterwards, tends to be a lot better than being dry to start with :D

Oh yeah, I forgot to add, the Mach 3 turbo owns because it vibrates, I finish up with my chin as smooth as a baby's bottom. :D

Use a Mach 3 (though I destest their adverts - the day the 'best a man can get' is a razor . . . .), after showering for preference, with shave gel (the foams irritate my skin), every other day (more often can give me irritation problems), and use a moisturising aftershave.

Mach3 here...

I'd like to try a cut-throat razor, but seeing as I have been known to injur myself;

  • In a toilet cubicle
  • On a packet of cereal
  • On a bouncy castle
  • Sitting at my desk
  • Asleep

...I don't think it's a very good idea.

Have loads of scars on my hands/fingers from being prone to accidents - funniest one was when I accidentally stabbed a pair of scissors through the fleshy bit between the thumb and index finger - impaled myself on a desk...

Couldn't help but giggle, called my mum over who passed out in due course.

Ever used your bare foot as a newly found plug socket ? Managed to somehow tread on an electrical plug when I was 8, the three prongs went right into my foot and I leaked bloody everywhere.

Ohh then I was trying to open a stapler and stapled my two fingers together.

Numerous electric shocks too, ohh and then there was that time i fell out of a van doing about 40mph

I'm a cheap disposable in the shower sort of guy. No shaving foam, once a week, whether I need it or not. I don't have a whole lot of beard though.

mach3, though im leaning towards gettin one of them lectric fandangled thingies.

always have a shower before shaving, thoguh i tend to only shave twice a week much to the disgust of my other half.

oh and always prefer an aftershave that reminds you its morning and time to wake up, ie stings like hell.

tried it a couple times but prefer a safety razor for speed and you tend to get less irritation with them i found
