Alright, done a lot of googling with no avail, so thought I'd ask you lot :)

Got a Sony K800i mobile phone.
PC with bluetooth dongle wotsit.

Put simply, I want to use my PC's internet connection, wirelessly, on my K800i - as for some retarded reason most UK phone providers think 1mb is an acceptable download limit before charging 3 quid for another meg. I've had programs in the past 3 times that size - so nearly a tenner for a free program on my phone?

I've gotten some snippets of information from the ol' Internet, but a couple of them are foiled by Vista - i.e. bridging the Personal Area Network (phone>PC) with the wireless PC network (pc>router) - however Vista separates these into different types of networks and stops you from bridging them. Other than that, I'm lost :/

I can do that yeah, but theres a few things like direct software updates and what not that require a direct connection, which is bloody expensive @:/
Have looked at Gnubox but appears to not apply to my phone.

Yeah, that was the first avenue of exploration.

Given up on the idea now, it wasn't really important, just a "wonder if".
Besides which, phone is currently dead - won't receive texts but sends them and takes/makes calls without issue :/

My TechNerd friend says the problem with Bluetooth is that the standard that determines something is 'bluetooth' is crap - basically it leaves a lot open to interpretation so inevitably the manufacturers of different devices interpret it in different ways.

As a consequence of that its way harder to get bluetooth devices to talk to each other than it should be - it was a nice idea but a bad standard has severely crippled it :(
