hello everyone,

first i would like to introduce myself as it is my first post around here

been playing Daoc for a while now and also have been reading FH on regular bases but i never made any post.

after playing a shaman for the last 2.5 years i think i came up with something but i would like your feedback on my template.

but before posting it i ll tell you a bit more about my beloved shamy toon

spec 46 aug 27 cave, playing mainly in group full group or small group (3 people) at RR7L1 (what i am atm) i have:

purge II, aug dext IV, Ichor I, AoM III, MCL I, MoC I, WH II

i already posted this template on my guild forum and discussed it with several people. so i know some of the comment you will make:

- a bit low on power pool : yea, right, but MCL 1 + shaman CW = 1 extra mana bar. have to admit that i hardly can emplty 2 mana bars in a fight ... i usually get jumped before that

- no Zo'akrat yea have to admit that what i post here is not a template... it s the gear i have on me at this very moment; i m presently trying to work on a template with more range bonus (trying to fit Zo in it)

i tried to build up a temp based on ROGs rather than expensive Mp spell crafted stuff not that i can t afford it but i find more flexibility in rogs wich make it easyer to swap or to rebuildt a tamplate

as a group shamy i find important to stick an EoY in template, i hate the stats but utility is very nice, specially with a low power pool having a mana free rez is something nice enough to be considered. also good as backing up healer for rezzing in case of wipe in tower /keep.

hope i dont need to explain why i wanted to stick Cb inside as well

for info my current dext (with aug dext 4) is 360 with red capped BB buffs (357 with own buffs)

now i m waiting for your comments, but please try to add some value (explain why its good /bad what u like and what u dont)

More piety more spell range.. drop tg haub its not worth the hassle for the heal proc - zo is a must so try harder to fit it in.. drop matter aswell tbh or re do the config file and combine the acuity with piety since thats all it is you've got 80 piety there (confusing people on first glance) and i might be wrong here but i'm sure you can cap buffbonus without rogs mate try get winged helm in there aswell charge rocks on it

Winged helm and ph is overkill, since alot of times it fucks up the /usage of other nice items. Like Sog zoa and stuff so i in mine chose to go with ph only.
And u can't cap bb without nice rogs. In my temp i got champ weap in 1 hand and Sog in 2 handed. Sog has actually saved me from time to time when kiting and is also nice to get upper hands on interrupts. I would go for VR 2 at rr 7 and mabye lower purge to 1 if u run in a fg, but ofc purge 2 is nice in a duo/trio. And i would defenatly raise my power pool to around 30% if i was u and thats not hard at all. Last note why on earth skip tg shammy vest as proc is nice and works on magic dmg if i recall right.

just to start this post of mine, the TG hauberk is indeed nice whatever ppl say, ive been using it since in SI, and still do and would never consider another hauberk realy for my shaman.

secondly, both WH and PHN in this caster era is overkill, just phn is fine, since it has more fitting stats then WH and same /use on it. you capped buffbonus, thats lovely, however, work on your mana pool some, try to get between 25% and 30% that is imho enough. but 12% is a bit low even with CW in temp. phn will also raise your range... if you want cheap template look on the epic parts such as legs and sleeves, cant rmbr now anymore what parts you had on your scing...

thirdly, please use standard "output" or what ever to call it when posting template, such as danord posted it. much easier to read

cant think of much else atm more then get sog in 2h slot, you can lower some of your resists some (such as matter and energy for example)

to end this post its nice to see that you have atleast tried to do your tempalte yourself compared to so many others that just cba and say they cant and ask for template w/o even trying...



here is my template if you wanna have a look, stat on one or 2 items is wrong, not any major thing but actuall temp has 1 more con, and 1% more healbonus, not realy a diffrence thou

ps. as you see on my temp i went for capped spellduration, and its just <3 i can tell you!

Edit: forgot to comment on your RA setup, imo you can ditch AOM, its not that powerfull i think atleast, would rather get mastery of focus 2, and also WH you can put down to 1, you are not a mainhealer and cant depend on crits anyhow, wh1 is nice for some crits thou, but since WH dont affect VR as i suggest you get aswell, you can put it down, also TG hauberk cant crit anymore as it used to way back.. however toa healbonus affects healprocc and relics aswell, unsure of moheal if it affects so cant comment on that.

Edit2: my memory rox, purge1 or purge3, inbetween is a waste imo i think atleast...

i dont realy want anyone to copy my template, or tbh i hate when ppl just copy others template, make your own, use others as an source of information and to gain ideas ect, and getting 25% buff, 20%+ dur 20%+ heal 30%+ pp and having zoa, sash, eoy, cw, croc ring, phn neck aint the easiest tbh while you gotta keep dex at 101 (cant imagine playing my shaman w/o my 381dex) and keep the resist and hp at a decent level, and also for me keeping a "roleplayish" look. i dont like visable artis on my shaman, that my CW and LE sleeves can be seen is way more then enough for me ;P

its easy to get now just need around a fg to farm her maybe less... we had a some tanks and celerity (she poped quite fast when we farmed her too) and the droprate have been upped quite alot

About CB: Overrated 20% buff bonus is enough for me. If it isn't enough for you, use other guy's template. About immo rings, well cheapest immo rings atm in housing were like 30p. If you really love the class (in this case shamy) and want to give the best template for it - its not really a great obstacle to cross - to get enough plats to buy those rings (if you don't got a summon sm to self farm it), here some guys pay 300p for items to their template ; 2 x 30p << 300p

About swapping stardrop to eoy, well it isn't bothering thing for me to swap. If you really find it awkward thing to do, see above

About CB: Overrated 20% buff bonus is enough for me. If it isn't enough for you, use other guy's template. About immo rings, well cheapest immo rings atm in housing were like 30p. If you really love the class (in this case shamy) and want to give the best template for it - its not really a great obstacle to cross - to get enough plats to buy those rings (if you don't got a summon sm to self farm it), here some guys pay 300p for items to their template ; 2 x 30p << 300p

About swapping stardrop to eoy, well it isn't bothering thing for me to swap. If you really find it awkward thing to do, see above

Whats the point in using EoY if you are swapping it for stardrop all the time? Timer will always be down.. dont see a problem swapping boots or something to cap buff bonus, during a fight rebuffing you obviously are not going to swap, but after the fight when resting just swap some boots out or so and rebuff ppl who died with capped buff bonus.
