Shadowstrike ring

A shadow strike ring has come into my possetion

It has 10% crush on it and +7 to intel, dex, con quick (i think as i havnt properly planned this message)

I have been offerd everything from 300gold, fists full of diamond seals to 2 platinum and and the scale they used up until there epic armour.

But what i put to you is this.

What is it worth... i really dont want to find out ive given something good away (if indeed it is) which i am indeed using! Although everything has a price, and i am without alot of good things that could come into my possesion if i sold...

Lemme clarify ...


there a a few items in Hiberna that have 10% resists on them . THese items are generally pretty rare and fetch a good price .. as u can see the demand is there.

I would suggest CAREFULLY considering selling these rings for a mere few coins.

Glimmer Striker Ring 10% slash
Shadow Ring 10% thrust
Shadow Striker Ring 10% crush
Belt of Resilliance some melee resists
Wormskin Wrap melee and other 2 different bracers

Seals are worthless imho .

well the 3 melee resists rings from EZ is nice now! but soon (lol soon yeah right) we'll get SC, and then those ring are nothing, because of the low mVal (SC points), so if u have no plan using it now, sell it, because u are going to need those plat to get crafted armor with SC in it =) and u'll get nice cash now, instead if u w8 to long

The Shadowstriker ring is the least looked for melee resist ring with the 10% slash ring in a big lead, everyone who has one of the crush rings would swap it for a slash ring I'll PM you ingame for offers

My advice to you as a fellow champion is this:

Once you get to level 50 your crush resistance can me a maximum of 26%. However, the champ epic armour gives you 20% of that leaving only 6% to find. Items such as the Belt of Might (DF bought 4% slash/crush/body) raise that meaning that you are on 24% easily.

However, our slash resistance is till poor (with me having only the Belt of Might mine is 6% boo hoo). Especially with the armour changes in 1.52, slash items are really needed for scale users.

Speak to a Blademaster and he will tell you his epic armour has excellent slash resistance but his crush resistances are poor.

Therefore what I would do is only trade that ring with 10% crush for one with 10% slash. You will not need the ring as a champ unless you intend to cap at 26% in which case wear it.

Until we get spellcrafting in (patch 1.54 so maybe next year for us) these are sought after items.

p.s. I have seen people offer seals. They are only really worth real cash if you know someone who can salvage and trinket the items. After a while you end up with all the stuff you want from DF and if you cannot salvage or trinket them then they are worth nothing.

But seriously, for scale wearers slash resist items will be a must come 1.52

Ive been camping Glimmer Strikers/Grievers and Warshades for the past 3 days and only had 1 Glimmer Striker ring drop, Im after a Shadowstrike Ring (because of the int+resist) and a Lurid Mantle.

This will cap my Con,Dex,Int and +Hits and give me some damn nice resists

Yes they will be worthless when SC comes out..but, US dont even have it yet, so god knows when we will....

Lix could you confirm that a Glimmer Striker dropped it please, so that im not wasting my time

I got a Deleterious Pall, 10 str, 10 con, 10 dex, 10 qui I'd swap for the Lurid mantle Lurid Mantle has no dex, str and qui are useless to casters so you would have a bit less con, 3? and 10 more dex if you arent capped with delete T_T

Use it, wear it.

Then in 1.52 offer it up for sale.

Reinforced armor becomes crush vulnerable so every Ranger, BM and Bard will want that ring.

To those that keep mentioning S/C

a - ain't in US yet
b - the way 1.52 is dragging on over here, S/C is after xmas minimum
c - S/C can only be used on armour/weapons

Until Spellcraft, Alchemy and Jewelcraft are fully integrated into the game you are going to do a lot of item juggling to get the resists you need. If as is suspected S/C goes in first then you will have 8 items that you can imbue which if you want to cap all stats/skills/resists then items like these are very very worthwhile.
